Lila

"Your friends aren’t coming?" Julian asked as he leaned casually against the wall, watching me work on my laptop in the living room.

"They’re busy. Maybe next week," I replied with a small smile, my eyes glued to the screen.

He ran a hand through his hair, a mischievous smile tugging at his lips. I arched a brow, silently demanding he spill whatever he was hiding.

"I brought back a few dresses and some other things from my trip," he said, gesturing toward my room where he must have kept the bags like the last time. He travelled almost every other day and bought me already a lot of things.

I sighed dramatically, shaking my head. "Julian, I told you not to buy me anything!"

"They were too pretty to leave behind," he said with a sheepish grin. "And I figured the prettiest woman I know should have them."

I rolled my eyes, but his puppy-dog expression made it impossible to stay annoyed. "Fine. Now, please leave. I need to finish this by tomorrow."

He gave me a mock salute, but instead

LilaMy mom’s radiant smile lit up the room as she chased after me during our game of hide-and-seek. I had hidden in her closet, giggling softly as she searched the house, calling out my name. Eventually, she entered her bedroom, but then my dad followed behind her.Their voices escalated into an argument, shattering the playful atmosphere. My mom’s laughter turned to tears as she slumped to the floor.Peeking through the crack in the closet door, I saw her sobbing, bruises marring her delicate arms and face. My small legs carried me out of the closet, kneeling before her.“Mom, why are you crying? Who hurt you?” I asked, brushing my fingers gently over the marks on her hand. She flinched, pulling her hand away. “I’m not crying, honey,” she said, forcing a smile through her tears. “I just can’t take it anymore.”Her words were the last thing I heard before she stood abruptly, walking toward the balcony.“Mom?”She didn’t stop.“Mom!”I screamed, my voice breaking as her lifeless body h

ElliotMy little mate thought she could outsmart me. As if giving a fake address could keep her hidden. Lila didn’t realize how closely I watched over her, how every move she made was within my reach. Her friends’ phones were tracked, and her conversations were monitored. Not a single secret escaped me.Leaning back in my chair, I smirked at the screen before recording a voice note and sending it to her.“Hide and seek, huh? You seem to enjoy the game, but let me warn you, Lila—when I find you, you’ll never lie to me again. And you’ll never hide from me. Not ever.”I had barely hit send when Kai barged into my office, his face tight with unease.“Alpha, Elena is here, and—”The door slammed open, and Elena stormed in like a whirlwind of fury, her arms crossed, her gaze sharp.“Why did you call me here? Another blackmail, perhaps?” she snapped, her tone dripping with defiance. Her smirk gave her away. She had already spilled the truth to Lila—that she was a secret council spy. Predictab

Lila"Your baby is healthier now," the doctor said, scanning the reports with a smile. "Your husband is doing an excellent job taking care of you."Julian, sitting beside me, flashed a grin so wide it almost reached his ears.I opened my mouth to correct the doctor, but Julian squeezed my hand, stopping me. "Thank you, doctor," he said smoothly, his voice dripping with charm. "I’ll always fulfill my responsibilities. After all, I’m a good husband and a soon-to-be father."The doctor chuckled, nodding approvingly. "Now that, I can believe."I forced a polite smile, but as soon as we left the office, I shot Julian a pointed look. My patience was hanging by a thread."Don’t you think you’re overplaying your role now?" I crossed my arms, pulling my hand away from his hold.Julian’s smile faltered, a shadow passing over his face. "What can I say? A man can dream about the life he wishes he had."The weight of his words pressed down on me, my heart twisting with guilt. Was he just joking, or

LilaJulian placed the mug of my chocolate milkshake on the table before settling into the chair beside me. I reached for the mug, stirring the straw absentmindedly, while he sipped his coffee in silence.“I’ve been living away from my pack and family,” he began, his voice low and hesitant. He swallowed hard, as though forcing himself to push the words out.His unease was palpable, the pain in his eyes cutting through the air between us. A part of me wanted to stop him, to spare him from reopening wounds that hadn’t yet healed. But I stayed quiet, unwilling to let sympathy blur my judgment.Kindness was fucking dangerous. I had learned that the hard way.“The truth is,” Julian continued, his voice taut with restraint, “my father loves me, but I can’t be around him. He’s a constant reminder of everything I’ll never have—a normal family, a normal life. The whole pack wishes I’d never been born. They don’t say it, but I see it in their eyes. My mom… she was only a teenager like you when s

ElliotThe voice on the other end of the call was male, and something about it clawed at the edges of my memory. It was maddeningly familiar, though I couldn’t yet put a name to it. My wolf prowled restlessly, an aggressive force pushing against my control. The mere idea of another man near her had him on edge, his possessiveness snarling and wild. She was mine, and even if she didn’t know it yet, she’d remember it for the rest of her life.“Where is she right now? I want the exact location, every damn detail about the house she lives in, and the person who owns it and the people she meets,” I barked at Kai, shoving my phone back into my pocket.Kai, my Beta, stood stiffly, sensing the storm in my tone. “Understood, Alpha. Did something happen?” he asked cautiously.I shot him a glare that could have melted steel. “Shouldn’t you already know? I told you to assign the best trackers to her and update me on her every move.” My snarl reverberated through the room, punctuated by the thud of

ElliotI stormed into Julian’s villa, fury burning through every fiber of my being, only to learn from one of his cowering helpers that they’d gone out on a date night. My fist met the nearest wall with a sickening thud, sending cracks spidering through the plaster. The helper flinched, his wide eyes betraying his fear as I began rifling through her belongings, driven by an insatiable need to find... something. Anything. Her room was steeped in her scent—sickeningly sweet and maddeningly intoxicating. It did nothing to soothe the feral beast clawing inside me. If anything, it stoked the inferno of my rage. She wasn’t here, but every second spent in that space amplified the storm of fury roaring in my chest.“Alpha,” Kai’s voice broke through the haze, his tone clipped but hesitant. “Tristan’s shared their live location. It’s about a twenty-minute drive from here.”I slammed her laptop shut and shoved it into Kai’s hands. “Take it,” I growled through clenched teeth. My thoughts seared w

LilaTerror wrapped itself around my heart as Elliot’s icy gaze bore into mine. I couldn’t trust him—not with the truth, not with the fragile life growing inside me. His thirst for vengeance ran deeper than the ocean, and I knew he would stop at nothing to destroy my pack, even if it meant using my baby as a pawn.Elliot wasn’t just dangerous; he was the devil himself. His searing icy blue eyes, so perilous and unrelenting, promised a storm I wasn’t sure I could weather. But I would fight him. For my baby. For Julian, who had risked his life to protect me.Closing my eyes, I forced the lie past trembling lips. “Julian is the father of my baby. And I love him.”The silence that followed was deafening, the air heavy with unspoken fury. When I dared to open my eyes, I saw his grip on my wrists loosen slightly, but his rage didn’t fade. His aura surged like a tidal wave, suffocating and cold. His wolf was close to the surface, and its icy blue eyes pierced through the storm swirling in his

ElliotI let my wolf take control the moment I stormed out of the packhouse, my body shifting mid-stride as I tore through the forest. The guards stationed outside my floor had been rattled by my earlier outburst, their timid knocks at the door earning them a sharp mind-linked command to stay away unless summoned. After locking Lila inside, I ensured no escape was possible. My voice had been lethal when I ordered the guards to remain outside the door and ensure she didn’t set one foot beyond it. If she managed to flee, I promised them they wouldn’t live to see another sunrise. The cool night air stroked my fur as I broke into a furious run with no destination in mind. The forest swallowed me whole, its shadows providing the seclusion I craved to unleash the storm brewing inside me. Every muscle in my body burned as my paws dug into the earth, the weight of my rage and pain threatening to consume me whole. My wolf was seething, his anguish intertwining with mine. LilaThe meeting at the office had gone better than I expected. With the new plans and policies in place, my company was finally heading in the direction I had always envisioned—a place where equality thrived, where the employees felt valued, and where archaic, discriminatory practices were eradicated. The new investment plans were strategically crafted to revitalize my company, ensuring its steady recovery from the losses my father’s mismanagement had inflicted. Each decision was calculated to not only stabilize the business but also position it for long-term growth, restoring the reputation and strength it once held. As I stepped out of my office, Sheila, my ever-efficient secretary, called out to me. “Lila, wait.” She hurried over, holding a thick file in her hands.“These are old records,” she explained, her voice tinged with unease. “I couldn’t make sense of some of them, but I thought you should take a look. They might be important.”I frowned, sensing her discomfort. “Thank y

Lila“I’ll miss you,” Uncle Liam murmured, pulling me into a warm, comforting embrace.“We’ll be back soon,” Elliot replied smoothly, his hand resting protectively on the small of my back before I could respond.Aunt Julia's eyes shimmered with unshed tears as she clasped my hands in hers. “Call me, sweetheart. Promise me you will.”“Of course,” I reassured her, my voice soft but steady. She was the last connection I had to my mother’s family, and I knew her presence might be key in uncovering the secrets hidden in my mother’s journal.“I’ll visit his pack during the blood moon,” Elliot’s uncle said, glancing at Aunt Julia with a small smile. “If you’d like, you can join me.”My aunt's expression shifted from surprise to unrestrained joy. “I’d love to,” she said, her voice tinged with delight.“Don’t forget to invite us to the wedding,” Aunt Julia teased, her words laced with playful mischief as her gaze shifted between me and Elliot. My cheeks flushed, heat creeping up my neck, but E

ElliotHer lips on mine set my entire body ablaze. I could feel her surrender, her trust, and her desire—everything I craved to earn from her. The waves lapped around us, cool and steady, but nothing could temper the fire she ignited within me.I gripped her waist, holding her steady as she kissed me deeply, her hands threading through my hair and tugging just enough to drive me mad. She tasted like sweetness and temptation, the perfect mix of innocence and wildness that was uniquely her."Lila," I murmured against her lips, my voice thick with need. "If we keep this up, I won't be able to stop."Her emerald eyes met mine, a glimmer of determination in their depths. "Then don't."My wolf growled in approval, but I hesitated. She was carrying our children. Her safety, her comfort—it came before my desires. Always."Lila," I said, my tone softer now, my forehead pressed against hers. "You're everything to me, and I don't want to hurt you. Not physically, not emotionally."Her hands cupp

LilaHis face glowed beneath the sun's setting light, the hues of amber and crimson casting an almost ethereal glow on his features. As we walked hand in hand along the beach, the sand warm beneath our bare feet, I couldn’t help but trace the sharp line of his jaw with my fingertip.Elliot turned toward me, his expression softening as a dimple appeared on his cheek, and I caught my breath. That single dimple was a betrayal of his otherwise unyielding demeanor—a glimpse of vulnerability that made my heart stumble.“Why don’t you smile more often?” I asked, my voice lighter than I felt. “The dimple really suits you.” My finger lingered over the hollow, as though committing it to memory, before I pressed it gently like a button. His chuckle was low and unrestrained, the sound vibrating through me. “I smile when there’s something worth smiling about,” he said, the warmth in his voice making my pulse quicken.“And what’s the reason now?” I prodded, raising a brow.He leaned in slightly, hi

ElliotUncle Liam had asked me why I had come without her but I had shut ignored him and came back to my room. I was seething in rage, I was hurt by the way she had responded, I knew what I did was wrong but the way she had shut me out and didn't even give me a chance to hear me out was what hurt me more. I laced around my room restlessly, not able to stay away from her and the distance was gnawing at my insides. The room was heavy with her plum and jasmine scent which perturbed me more, I needed to calm distract myself so I got out of cabin and drove to the woods where I might get some peace but when I reached my car, I saw Mark opening the door of his car for my mate and I clenched my jaw, hating the fact that he was with her while I was away from her.Julia ushered Lila towards me, smiling down at me genuinely. “I see you're going out,” Julia said warmly as Lila looked at me silently with a confused face. I looked away from her and nodded my head. “Take your mate with you,” Juli

LilaThe surge of emotions through the mate bond as I woke was overwhelming—powerful, magnetic, and utterly suffocating. My hand instinctively went to my neck, fingers grazing the tender mark that now connected us irrevocably.Elliot had marked me.While I’d been unconscious, he had taken away my choice, sealing our bond without my consent. Fury ignited in my chest, eclipsing every other emotion, every other thought. My wolf stirred within me, her presence stronger, more vivid than ever before. Elliot’s mark had strengthened her, tethering us to him in a way that I couldn’t deny. But I couldn’t let the sparks, the intoxicating pull of the mate bond, blind me. Not after learning the truth about my mother’s life—how she had allowed love to trap her, to chain her.“I’m sorry, Lila,” Elliot’s voice broke through my spiraling thoughts, laced with a raw sincerity that might have softened me at another time. “I didn’t have a choice. Your aunt told me it was the only way to wake you up.”Hurt

Elliot “She’ll be fine,” Uncle Liam said, breaking the tense silence. His tone was firm, but his eyes betrayed him—darkened with concern.“She better be,” I growled, my voice raw. “Because if she isn’t…I'm going to kill that Beta of yours.” My hands clenched the wheel even tighter, my words trailing off into a dangerous promise.Mark’s house came into view, a sprawling estate tucked behind wrought-iron gates. I didn’t wait for them to fully open, driving through the narrow gap the moment it was wide enough. The tires screeched as I brought the car to an abrupt stop. The front door flew open before I even reached it, Mark standing there with a grim expression.“She’s upstairs,” he said, his voice steady but tinged with worry. “She fainted suddenly in my Mom's room. Serena’s with her now.”I pushed past him without a word, taking the stairs two at a time. My heart thundered in my chest, each step bringing me closer to the room where Lila was. When I finally entered, I saw her lying pal

Elliot“Tell me what you need from me,” I asked, leaning against the wall of his office, my arms crossed.Uncle Liam looked up from his laptop, removed his glasses, and sighed heavily. The weight of his exhale told me whatever he was about to say wouldn’t sit well.“Take a look,” he said, turning the screen toward me.I moved to the empty chair in front of his desk and began reading. My jaw tightened as my eyes scanned the document. The history of his pack stared back at me—a history deeply rooted in my mother’s bloodline. Her ancestors had fought tooth and nail to preserve it through countless wars.“Why are you giving it to Mark, then?” I asked, my voice cold, carefully masking the unease bubbling inside me.“I don’t have children,” he replied with a dismissive shrug. “And you clearly don’t want it. I won’t force this pack onto you. You already have your pack, your mate’s pack soon, and let’s not forget—you're going to be the Alpha King. Your responsibilities are only going to multip

LilaThe afternoon sun filtered through the windows of Aunt Julia’s room, casting soft patterns on the walls as we sat in a tense silence. My thoughts were a chaotic swirl, her revelations still echoing in my mind as we had tea. I had come here to connect with my mother’s roots, but instead, I found myself questioning everything I thought I knew about my family.“Lila,” Julia began gently, her hand resting on mine, “I know this is a lot to take in. Your mother loved you more than anything in this world. Her decisions—everything she endured—it was all for you. But that doesn’t mean the truth should be hidden from you.”I nodded slowly, trying to steady my breathing. “I need to know everything, Aunt Julia. I can’t live with half-truths anymore. If my father lied about this, what else did he lie about?”Julia’s gaze softened with empathy, and she leaned back, her expression thoughtful. “Your father… Andrew was a complex man, Lila. He was ambitious, driven, and deeply insecure. He loved no
