Tabitha's POV

As soon as those words left my mouth, even Alice behind me panicked. "Tabitha, seriously? You sure?"

"I had a premature birth before, and it feels just like this."

"Tabitha, hold me tight."

Spencer didn't dare slack off for a second and quickly swam us to the shore.

After struggling to drag me up, he pulled out an emergency light from his pocket.

I was soaked through, and even I couldn't tell if it was seawater or amniotic fluid.

Alice had a serious look on her face as she said, "Let me take a look."

Her face went pale as soon as she took a glance at my private part. "Oh no, Tabitha, your water broke, and there's blood!

"If it's just the water breaking, it means you're going into premature labor. And I can handle that just fine. But now, there's blood. Things are getting tricky.

"I'm not sure if it's ruptured capillaries causing the bleeding or if it's the pups' blood. If it's the latter, we are in deep trouble."

I agree with Ayu. Please let her pups live and be healthy. Also, please let her live and reunite with her 1st born as well being with her twins. My question is who hired the assassins? Was it Elena? Or maybe Justin or Daphne? Someone really wants her gone, but why? She hasn’t done anything to anyone

Tabitha's POVAfter I finished saying so, I threw the phone aside and did what Alice told me to do."Tabitha, in this situation, I can't do the surgery for you. You have to rely on yourself and give birth to the pups as soon as possible. Otherwise, they will die due to lacking oxygen. Just push hard, your cervix is dilated."I felt a baby's head descending. Without the protection of amniotic fluid, both babies were moving around in my belly. They were like stranded fish on the beach, struggling, just like me."Babies, you must hold on. Daddy will come soon. Everything will be fine. I'm here with you. I'll never give up on you, and you can't give up either."I had been through this once, but now again, I felt even more fear and pain.My whole body was trembling crazily. I wasn't sure if it was because of fear or my low body temperature. It was the worst delivery condition for any pregnant woman. I was in so much pain and I felt suffocated.

Third person's POV"What... What did you say?""Maybe they were suffocated when they came out. Tabitha, don't be sad. You are only six months pregnant, even if you delivered them successfully, it was unlikely for them to survive."Now the most important thing is your health. You're still young. You will have other children.""No, I don't believe it. They won't just die like this. I've carried them for so long and went through so much difficulty, I...""Tabitha, the killers are coming. We must leave now.""No, no way! I won't leave my babies behind."Alice couldn't care less about that. Her job was to protect Tabitha and then her babies. If they were all in danger at the same time, she must save Tabitha first."Tabitha, I'm sorry."Alice quickly carried Tabitha on her back. Tabitha looked at her babies lying on the clothes without signs of life. Mixed with rain, her tears streamed down uncontrollably."No! My babies!"Alice

Tabitha's POV"Tabitha, don't overthink it. Just hold on a little longer. Alpha Derek will be here soon. This is our mission. No matter what happens, we will protect you!""Thank you, Dr. Evans. I really appreciate your care over the past few months."Alice appeared very uneasy after hearing my words."Tabitha, don't give up. We will get out. I promise.""Get out? Where can we possibly go?"I looked up at the dark sky, and the cold rain mercilessly pattered on my face."Actually, I know that my dad can't live much longer. He lives until now thanks to instruments and medication. He has long lost the will to live.""Tabitha...""Dr. Evans, my friend used to say that I was like the sun, shining in brightness. But later, the light on me gradually faded, and I was enveloped by darkness. I walked a long time in the mud."Back then, I rolled and crawled, struggling desperately. I refused to give up and didn't believe in fate. Even a faint g

Tabitha's POVI plunged into darkness, running frantically alone."Where are my children?" I couldn't help wondering.I had only one thought in my mind. That was, to find my children quickly so that they wouldn't be afraid.I ran tirelessly for a long, long time, and suddenly a light appeared before my eyes. I found myself standing in a meadow. At the end of the meadow, there was a rainbow bridge, and the other side was enveloped in clouds and mist. Would my children be there?Gradually, a figure appeared on the other side of the rainbow bridge. That was Joanna. She was wearing the dress she wore when she went to pick up her crush at the airport that day, looking very beautiful. As usual, she waved at me."Joanna!"I was overjoyed and ran towards the rainbow bridge without hesitation. Just as my foot was about to step on it, I suddenly heard two baby voices."Mom!"I turned around and saw two adorable kids. The boy looked like D

Tabitha's POVMy whole mental world just crashed down, and the loss of my pups was the last straw that broke me.I was so hyped for the baby to come, and now I was just crushed beyond belief.Tears and blood mixed together as I squatted on the bed, yanking at my hair. "Derek, you shouldn't have saved me! Living is just too damn hard!"I couldn't even figure out why I was still breathing.I felt like a walking disaster, bringing nothing but bad luck to everyone around me.Derek once again dragged me into his arms. "Do you want to know why I saved you? Well, I'll tell you now."He knelt down to help put my shoes and socks on before scooping me up in his arms."Where are you taking me?""You will know soon," Derek said as he carried me into one of the wards. It was a room for three, with patients wrapped in bandages, and some even in casts.Spike probably needed to use the bathroom. With his leg injured, he could only get around with cr

Tabitha's POVLevel B3. The elevator doors slid open, and a blast of cold air hit me right in the face.Derek removed his coat and draped it over me; it was colder here than it had been above. This was my first time in a place like this, and it was unlike anything I'd seen in films or on TV.The corridor lights were very bright, but as the excessively bright incandescent light shone on the walls, this place appeared even more desolate. An elderly man stood by the entrance to the morgue, having been instructed by his superior to wait for our arrival."Alpha Derek, Tabitha, the body's been prepped for viewing, but it's still a corpse—so brace yourselves."I said in a hoarse voice, "Open the door."As soon as it swung open, I saw a body covered with a white sheet.Derek explained quietly, "I've kept this under wraps for now; her family doesn't know yet."I walked towards the body step by step. I had been asleep for three days.

Derek's POVWatching Tabitha cry in my arms, I felt sorry for her.I knew she was still weak and she was supposed to avoid violent mood swings. But she had so much pent-up negativity inside her.I feared that if she kept bottling it all up, something worse would happen. Thus, I figured it was better to let her vent. She cried for what felt like forever until her voice turned hoarse and her tears ran dry.Right now, she was just sobbing softly in my arms.I remained silent the whole time, just gently patting her back, trying to be as soothing as possible. After a while, I noticed her emotions starting to settle down, so I helped her up."You're right," she said."I shouldn't be wishing for death. That would just make the mastermind behind it all crow about his or her victory. I have to live well and make that bastard pay for all this pain."Tabitha wiped away the last trace of tears from the corner of her eyes, and when she looked at

Tabitha's POVWhen I finally came around, it was already evening, and I could hear crying coming from the hallway.I groggily opened my eyes, not moving at all, just staring blankly at the ceiling in a daze.Everything felt surreal, like some kind of twisted dream.Derek's eyes were bloodshot as he looked at me, his voice hoarse. "Tabitha, finally, you're awake."Seeing him looking so worn out, I knew he must've been pulling all-nighters for days just to take care of me.Right now, my lips were so dry that I couldn't even part them.Derek told me, "For the past few days, you have only been getting nutrients through IVs and haven't eaten any solid food. I've been using cotton swabs dipped in water to keep your lips moist. It's normal that you feel them dry."What do you want? Are you thirsty or hungry? Just let me know.""I'm thirsty..."The moment Derek heard me speak up, his face lit up with relief as he jumped to his feet. But

Third person's POVDerek hadn't expected Kyrian to react so strongly. He'd only wanted Tabitha to know about Kyrian's existence, but he'd overlooked the fact that Kyrian was no longer a clueless toddler like his younger siblings. At this age, children understood everything and had developed their own complex emotions."I'm sorry."Derek carried Kyrian step by step back to the house. Kyrian was wrapped tightly in the military coat, while Derek was left exposed to the snow and wind.Although Kyrian had spent more time with Derek growing up, Derek had been chasing after Tabitha these past two years, and Kyrian rarely got to see his father. When Kyrian saw Derek covered in snow, his crying gradually subsided. He wasn't the only one hurting. Derek must have been suffering too.Kyrian sniffled softly, and Derek looked into his eyes, speaking earnestly, "I promise you, one day I'll bring Mom back, okay?"Kyrian's nose was red f

She felt as though someone was watching her, but she didn't dare look back. She was afraid that if she turned around, she wouldn't be able to leave. In her heart, she kept repeating, Don't look back. Just keep walking.Behind the curtains, Derek held Kyrian, who was crying silently. Kyrian reached out toward the empty air, as if trying to grab the hem of Tabitha's coat."Dad, I don't want Mom to leave. Will she abandon me?""No, she loves you. How could she abandon you? Third person's POVThough he was just a child and didn't fully understand what had happened between Tabitha and Derek, he knew one thing—he loved Tabitha and wanted her to be happy."If this makes you happy, I don't mind. I'm just scared... scared you'll leave me," Kyrian said, his voice trembling slightly."Silly boy, didn't I tell you? You and your siblings are my most precious treasures. I love you so much, and I'll visit you often," Tabitha said gently. Then, she noticed the cord around Kyrian's neck and gently pulled it out. It was the small lock she'd designed for him years ago."I made this for you. It's engraved with my hopes for you, 'May you grow up happy and healthy every day.'"Kyrian reached out his hand. "Mom, you can't lie to me. You have to come see me again."Their fingers hooked together in a pinky promise, and Tabitha smiled softly."Okay, I promise. • Alpha's Wife Hunt   Chapter 755

Third person's POVIn such a short time, Kyrian had already figured out his place in Tabitha's heart. He knew exactly where her soft spots were and used his natural childlike tears as a "weapon" to try to keep her from leaving.Though this might not make Tabitha happy, she couldn't bring herself to refuse him. What parent could say no to a child crying for candy?Especially when that child was the one she owed so much to, the one she wanted to give the entire world to.But he didn't want the world. He just wanted Tabitha to stay."I..." Tabitha started to speak, but Kyrian cut her off."Mom, I love you so much, and you love me, and my siblings too. I already don't have a complete family. Do you want my siblings to grow up without a dad, only imagining what he looks like, envying other kids' happy families? Mom, haven't you heard? A happy, complete childhood can heal a person for life, but an incomplete one takes a lifetime to heal."

Third person's POV"Back then was back then. Now is now. But I promise you, no matter what happens, I'll always love you," Tabitha said softly, gently stroking Kyrian's head. Her hand brushed through his soft fur, the warmth of a mother's love flowing through her touch.Kyrian's voice was small, tinged with hope. "Mom, can you spare a little love for Dad? He's actually kind of pitiful."His eyes showed sympathy for Derek. In his heart, both his parents were his greatest loves, and he longed for a complete family."There are plenty of people in this world who love your dad. He doesn't need mine," Tabitha replied, her tone carrying a hint of stubbornness. Despite her lingering feelings for Derek, the pain of the past made it hard for her to forgive."But to Dad, you're like oxygen to a fish. A fish can't live without oxygen," Kyrian said, snuggling closer to Tabitha. He pressed his body against hers, as if clinging to her love would make it st

Third person's POVKyrian obediently climbed over and was immediately pulled into Tabitha's embrace. From here, they could see the beautiful scenery outside. Kyrian realized that the training grounds looked completely different from this angle—probably because his mother was by his side.Tabitha smiled softly, her voice warm. "I chose your name. You were born with all my love.""Mom, you must have loved Dad a lot back then," Kyrian said, looking up with curious eyes."Yes, very much," Tabitha admitted honestly. "No matter how I feel about your dad now, you are my precious child, born after seven months of carrying you. Your dad took you away, and I didn't even know you existed. That's why I missed so many years of your life. But you need to know, I thought about you every single day. There wasn't a moment when I didn't miss you or wonder about you. Third person's POVKyrian watched nervously as Tabitha cleaned and dressed his wounds. He didn't dare breathe too loudly, his eyes glued to her every move. His gaze was filled with dependence and longing.Every now and then, he'd glance quickly at Derek, his eyes questioning, desperate for reassurance that this wasn't a dream."Dad, is Mom really back?" His voice trembled, carrying the fragility and hope unique to a child.Derek reached out and gently tapped his nose. "Silly boy, she's really here."Kyrian's tense body relaxed slightly, and a shy smile crept onto his face. When Tabitha applied the ointment a little too firmly, he winced but stayed silent. His hands gripped the hem of his shirt, his knuckles turning white from the pressure. He was afraid that if he cried out in pain, Tabitha might leave. In his heart, he thought, As long as Mom stays, this pain is nothing.Kyrian had always been well-behaved, but n

"How can they bully him like this? He's already struggling!"Derek held her back. "Tabitha, don't act rashly. This place isn't just about physical training for him."Tabitha frowned. "Then what else is he here for?"Derek explained, "For people like us, growing up means training alongside peers who'll become your most trusted allies—like Alvin and Rolf. These are the people who'd take a bullet for you on the battlefield. If Kyrian grows up sheltered, handed a team of strangers, do you think they'd truly respect or protect him? One wrong move, and he could end up dead."Tabitha's anger began to fade. "What are you saying?"Derek's tone grew serious. "He's not just training his body. He's learning to lead, to earn the loyalty of these kids. They'll b
