The question Draco asked wasn't exactly a surprising question but for some reason, Damien still found the question difficult to answer as he did not know exactly what it was that he was feeling.
He had come to accept that he had fallen for Kira and what he felt for Sheila couldn’t be compared to what he felt for Kira but even though he knew all that, he still couldn’t bear the mere thought of letting Sheila go.
He already admitted to himself that it was selfish of him to be so indecisive about everything and the fact he didn’t want to hurt any of the women because of how much he cared about both of them made him feel frustrated with himself.
“You know Damien that you and I have been friends since forever now and I can confidently say that I know you like I know myself and you also know very well that you can lie to everyone else in the world but not to yourself bro. Now, the reason I'm saying this is because lI want you to take a deep breath and let it out and then you should ask yourself this very important question. Who exactly are both these women to you? How do you view them genuinely and what is it that you really feel for them?” Draco said to him, hoping that his little exercise could help his friend clear his head.
Damien did just as told and took in a deep breath and exhaled. He thought deeply of both ladies and what his feelings for them were. How he was around them and how they both affected him.
After what felt like hours of thinking and being deep in his thoughts and trying to understand his emotions, Damien came to realization or at least, he was able to come to a plausible conclusion on what he felt.
“You more than anyone knows who Sheila is to me. She and I have been close friends since we were children and I've always cared and protected her because she isn't as strong and as confident as every other person. You remember how she'd easily cry over the littlest things and I just learned to be there for her just like she has been there for me all this while. With Sheila I was genuinely happy at first but lately, things just started to change between us and something just feels very different,” Damien said, pouring out his thoughts to which Draco patiently listened.
“As for Kira, you know how we started out. I found out she was my mate and she's someone I already disliked years before I even found out who she was to me. I, like an idiot, wanted absolutely nothing to do with her and vowed to just make her life miserable but things changed. I began to see different sides of Kira and the more I get to know her, the more I unknowingly became more attracted to her and her personality. She’s resilient, strong, powerful, a great leader and most of all, the girl is absolutely gorgeous," Damien said with a chuckle as he ran his hand through his hair.
"As embarrassing as this sounds, whenever I look at Kira, I actually feel very inferior to her. She knows exactly what she wants and just like me, she would do everything to protect her pack. She doesn’t mind what she had to do to protect the people she cares about and her selflessness is just admirable. I find myself thinking about her and the things she just says to me and she has never failed to help me get my thoughts together. With her, I feel more and I think more. I’m different from her and I just love how I am when I'm around her,” Damien explained and Draco did not miss the smile that Damien had on his face all the while he spoke about Kira.
“Damien, you have most definitely fallen madly in love with Kira,” Draco said and Damien immediately turned to look at him with a confused expression on his face.
Draco let out a small laugh. “You should have seen your face when you talked about Kira. Your face literally lit up ten times more the second you started to talk about her,” he said to his friend.
Draco cleared his throat as he moved closer to Damien.
“Listen Damien, I know what I'm gonna say is gonna sound very cheesy and all but I've seen the way you look at Kira and I've also seen the way she looks at you. You both used to be like fire and ice at one point and now, you're both just able to melt at each other’s gaze. I remember when I found out that your cousin was my mate,” Draco chuckled as he thought about his crazy relationship with Olivia.
“I was so against it at first. We both couldn't stand each other and we fought every time we saw each other but look at us today. We still fight very often but I can't even bear the thought of hurting her. My point is, you and Kira started out tough but I've seen how you've grown to care about her Damien. You look completely different when you look at her and I have never seen you look at Sheila that way,”
“I know Kira feels the same way about you which is why I'm gonna advice you to tell her how you feel about her instead of just dragging things out and making things worse for yourself,” Draco advised.
Damien took in a deep breath as he thought of what Draco had just suggested that he did and thoughts on how Kira had been treating him lately crossed his mind.
“I actually think you're right about that. I feel like she does like me too but lately, she's become even more cold and distant towards me and I have to admit that it’s hurting me a lot more than I thought it would,” Damien confessed honestly, recalling how Kira had shoved him away earlier and how she had been treating him lately.
“It hurts so much. It’s like I keep getting stabbed in the chest and it's all because Kira won’t speak to me or even look at me. I don't even know what I did wrong that's making her avoid me this much or maybe I do know and I am just…,” Damien trailed off sighing.
He didn’t want to overthink the reason for her anger but he felt like he had an idea as to why she was angry with him but somewhere at the back of his mind, he wanted nothing more than for what he thought to be completely false.
“You do know why she's upset with you Damien, am I right? Do you want to talk about it with me or would you just rather keep it to yourself? You know very well that I’m here for you to say whatever it is you have in mind and I'm here to listen to you but if you can't speak to me, then just go ahead and speak to Kira herself and just tell her how you feel and also remember to also speak to Sheila clearly and tell her how you feel too. I know you will have to hurt one of them at the end of it all but the main thing you should do is to go for whatever makes you happy and what you feel is right,” Draco said, hoping that his word of advice would be of help to Damien in a way.
He got up from his seat as soon as he was done talking and stretched his cramped hands a little.
“I will leave you to do some deep thinking and while you're busy with that, I'll prepare the necessary things for our return back to the pack. Make sure that you make a wise decision for yourself by dear friend,” Draco tells him with a small smile and just before he left the room, he placed his hands on Damien’s shoulders and patted them lightly before walking out of the room and heading back to his.
Damien placed his hands on the table as he thought deeply of what he should do and after minutes of contemplating really hard and thinking really hard, he got up from where he was seated and decided to go in search of Kira.

The moment Kira saw Damien approaching her, she began to walk away as fast as she could.
She was scared, scared that he was going to talk about it last night with her, tell her things that she just wasn't ready to hear and break her heart even more than it was already broken.
Damien noticed Kira taking long strides away from him and he did the same too to catch up with her.
“Kira, wait up and let’s talk please,” he called out from behind her as he continued to follow her up as quickly as he could but she just wouldn’t stop.
Tears formed in her eyes for some weird reason but she refused to let them drop. She grew up not knowing how to cry but after her fathers death, tears seemed to come her way too easily nowadays and she literally cried over anything that made her feel bad or sad in any way and lately, her relationship with Damien has been that thing that just kept making her shed tears.
She hurriedly entered the storage room and just before she was able to slam the door and lock it, Damien stopped her with his hands stretching inside a lot quicker than she was.
Kira cursed silently. “What is it that you want from me Damien?” she questioned weakly, letting out a small sigh.
“We need to talk,” he said in a calm tone but she wasn’t having it.
“What are we going to talk about that we haven’t already talked about before? If it’s about the vampires, we already spoke about them a while ago so I do not think we have anything to talk about again,” she responded.
Damien walked into the storage room and he closed the door slowly making Kira’s breath uneven as she disliked being in the same room with him but only because she was unable to control herself whenever she was around him.
“We need to talk about you and I, Kira,” Damien said, pointing at himself and then at her and she closed her eyes tiredly.
“What more is there to say about us Damien? What else do you want to say to me?” she asked almost in a whisper.
“Why do I feel like you are avoiding me because of what happened last night?” Damien questioned directly, not bothering to beat around the bush anymore.
A scowl formed on Kira’s face as soon as she heard him accuse of that. She was angry with him for so many reasons but unfortunately for her, he was too dumb and too dense to know which reason it was and that was what made her even more riled up.
“You think this is just about last night? Really?” she asked as she rolled her eyes and folded her arms across her chest.
Damien fluttered his brows in confusion. “It isn’t? If it isn't then what is it about? Is it about the other night in your room before your aunt walked in on us?” he questioned and she groaned in anger, raking her hair with her fingers.
“I don't even know what to say to you Damien. I do not know but fine! Let’s start with that night. Do you recall what happened the very next day? Do you recall that you literally went and avoided me the entire day? You didn’t even look at me and you made me feel ashamed of myself. After what happened to you, you not only avoided me the next day but you had the guts to go see her and then…,” Kira stopped and swallowed an invisible lump in her throat as she fought back the tears that threatened to stream down her face.
The skin between Damien’s brows creased in confusion. “Go on Kira, I’m listening. Just tell me once and for all what exactly is going on and be clear with me,” he insisted, wanting her to tell him so he knew what he had done wrong. He was very sick and tired of the whole back-and-forth that they've been having all this while and the fact that she wasn't even saying anything to him and instead, just keep flaring up at him at every opportunity that she got was something that was wearing him out both physically and emotionally and he needed to hear from her what exactly he had done wrong. Kira scoffed. She couldn’t believe he was asking her to keep talking when he could sense that her voice was literally shaking and the fact that he sounded so nonchalant, almost as though he was just waiting to listen to whatever she had to say, made her even angrier than she already felt. It was almost as if he had no remorse whatsoever and he was only trying to listen to her just because he wanted t
"Kira dear, are you okay?" Aunt Layla asked as soon as she walked into Kira's room. She had knocked a few times but when she didn't get any response, she decided to check for herself to be sure that Kira was doing okay. She happened to run into Kira earlier and she could immediately sense that something was wrong with her even though Kira had denied it. "Kira, can you hear me?" she asked again when she noticed that Kira wasn't responding to her. When Kira said nothing, she quickly moved closer to her and tapped her a little aggressively to snap her out of her thoughts. Kira is shocked to see her auntie in front of her as she did not see anyone coming in. "When did you get in here auntie and how did you get in?" she asked, and her question only made Layla even more worried. "Are you being serious with me right now Kira? Did you really not notice when I walked in? I knocked on the door a few times and when you weren't responding, I decided to check up on you to make sure that you wer

Kira was taken aback when she heard Damien's words. He had just blatantly confessed that he had feelings for her but the fact that she heard it from him felt so weird and unbelievable. She was finding it difficult to accept his words not because she didn't want them to be true but because she just couldn't bring herself to think that he was actually being serious and that he genuinely had feelings for her. She and Damien had a pretty rocky start and unfortunately for her, she found herself falling for him without even realising it. After the stunt he pulled the last time, she thought things were certainly never going to work out but hearing him say he felt the same way she did felt good but at the same time, scary. Sheila's eyes burned with rage and desperation as her eyes stayed fixated on the room Kira's aunt resided in. She had made sure to confirm the room first so that she didn't end up making any mistakes and now that she was completely sure, she had no intention of losing sight of her target. After her worst nightmare of letting Damien slip through her fingers came to pass, she then made up her mind that she wasn't going to get hurt alone. She was also going to make Kira go through similar pain and that was only going to happen if she could successfully get rid of the person who is closest to Kira, who was none other than her aunt. She had made sure to come in an appropriate disguise so that nobody would recognise her because she wasn't ready for people to find out who she was just yet. She was wearing a black outfit coupled with a black hood and a mask to cover her face. She thought it would be slightly difficult to get in but lucky for her, the guards had let their guard down and she
It’s been over a week since Damien and Kira confirmed their feelings towards each other, even though they hadn't publicly announced it to anyone. They also did not confirm the status of their relationship with each other because they were still fixated on sorting out the situation concerning the vampires, and they felt like their relationship could wait for a while since their feelings for each other had already been confirmed. The plan to attack the vampires was coming together properly and everyone had made sure to put in their hundred percent because they knew they could not afford to fail. They also made sure that security was tight enough for both packs thankfully, there was no sign of an attack from the vampires and both packs were currently peaceful. “What do you say, babe?” Damien asked Kira, who was busy trailing her fingers around his chest.“Say about what?” Kira questioned, not knowing what he had said since she wasn't paying attention. “I said, do you want to go to a
Damien and Kira have been avoiding each other ever since what happened the last time. While Damien was only avoiding her because he had refused to accept the fact that he had feelings for her, Kira was avoiding him for several reasons and the biggest reason was because, she felt embarrassed by the fact that he had ran off to his actual lover the next day after what had happened between them, making her feel like a complete moron."I honestly don't understand any of you at this point and I'm starting to think you're all taking this situation very lightly which shouldn't be the case at all. As far as I'm concerned, we're all gonna die one day, so how about we just go for it without overthinking so much?" Sebastian hissed.Layla clicked her tongue in frustration.

Ever since Kira woke up, she had been staring aimlessly at the ceiling, trying to not be affected by what had happened between Damien and her just a few hours ago. She tried everything she could to keep the thoughts out of her head so that she could focus solely on what she should do next. While Kira had these thoughts on her mind, Damien was fast asleep beside her, snoring softly with his legs out of the duvet and a part of his bare butt hanging out of the duvet that only partly covered his naked body.Kira's eyes finally moved away from the ceiling after what felt like hours of her staring blankly at the ceiling. As much as she was trying not to get affected by everything that just happened, she was deeply affected. She disliked the fact that she constantly had to remind herself that Damien had another woman and that everything that just happened between them was simply one sided and that he didn't feel the
