Kalan's P.O.V
"The full moon comes up tonight, and there's no sign of Adeena" Isaac announced, walking into my office.
"I know" I sighed leaning back into the chair. "I can't even get a sniff of her anywhere other than inside her room" I tell him.
I feel bad about what I said to her, I shouldn't have said it but that's what happens when I've been perplexed, I take it out on anyone I can and Adeena just happens to upset me for no reason.
I don't mean to lash out on the one's around me but it happens and then I have to face the consequences. When Adeena said I wasn't worth it, that was the first time I felt genuine hurt in a long time, I never want her to think I'm not worth it.
Adeena's P.O.VI really thought everything would be fine by the time I woke up in the morning, but it wasn't.Noah tried her best to help me sleep longer but it didn't work, so now I'm on the floor again, crying and groaning in pain. How could my own mother do this to me?.And Kalan was supposed to teach me everything but he's always busy doing something. He was supposed to tell me what I should expect, rather, what I should prepare for.I couldn't do this on my own, and my sisters don't know what to do either. They're both just inside my room looking at me, in hopes that everything will be over soon.
Adeena's P.O.VThe smell of bacon woke me from my sleep, my stomach instantly growled in hunger and I open my eyes slowly.I was met with a very high and dark ceiling, confused, I tried to sit up but a sharp pain in my head humbled my actions.Wincing, I held my head and tried again. This time, I was successful, I sat up and ran my fingers through my hair, it was tangled, felt like it was in its worst state.Fingers.Hair.I'm me again. To make sure my theory was correct, I looked down at my body, I was met with an oversized sweatshirt and some shorts covering me.
Adeena's P.O.V"I'm so happy you're okay!" Lauren gushed when Kalan finally put down. The soft couch welcomed me so comfortably, I almost sighed, this was the first place I sat when I first arrived here.Of course I would feel welcomed when I sit here."Where were you?" Lauren asks, taking a seat close to me.Silence.I just stared at her, I wasn't this quiet when I was with Fate. So why was I so quiet now?.I felt lost in this moment, it felt as though everything that had happened finally took its toll on me. The moment I saw Kalan,
Adeena's P.O.VI turn the shower off and pulled back the glass door to grab a towel. My shower was longer than I thought, I felt lost in there, trying to remember what exactly happened over these past few days.My memory was all mixed up, no matter how hard it tried it was no use, it's as if my mind was refusing to show me what happened.Or rather, what I did.Wrapping my body in the towel, I sighed walking to the mirror. I use my hand to wipe the steamy glass to see my reflection. I haven't seen what I looked like since the shift, as they said, I've been gone for three days, a lot could happen in that time. But, instead of my usual reflection
Adeena's P.O.V"It's okay, I forgive you""No!"I'm jolted awake by my own voice, it's been a week, I keep having nightmares about my sisters and that night I changed. Ever since the day I was in the shower, I remembered, I remembered the terror in their eyes and the hurt I inflicted on them that night. It keeps haunting me."Powerful, isn't it?" a deep voice asks from somewhere inside the room. The room was pitch black, I couldn't even see my own hands."Who are you?" I ask shakily.
Adeena's P.O.VKalan sat at his end of the table, looking directly at me. The room was now empty, Isaac was probably outside waiting for us.Kalan was dressed in one of the suits he wore to my home, except this one was black, with a lot more pins and medals than before. All the Elders wore pins and medals, but Kalan had way more than most of them, like he'd been alive for decades just fighting battles."Aren't you going to ask me when it happened?" I ask tapping my finger on the table."We've both had our fair share of lovers I presume" he says leaning back like the big shot he is.This table suits him rather nicely. His power hunger was right where it should b
Kalan's P.O.V"Why didn't you tell us she was one of the Moon Princesses?" Elder Gerald asks me in a hushed tone."Because I asked him not to" Selene replied looking around the room.Just what I didn't want to happen, she knows everything that could happen to her when she's with me but as soon as she's injured by someone else, I knew she was going to come here.I had no idea Sandy was going to show up here, the only thing on my mind was to take Adeena home, make sure she eats and gets some rest, tomorrow is the second full moon, and just three days after that is the third full moon.Which means, she'll be in heat for the next
Kalan's P.O.VIt's been thirty minutes, we've been chasing Adeena for thirty minutes. She's fast on her feet, just imagine her running in wolf form.I tried to mind link her a few times but her wolf blocked me out, yet again. First, she surprisingly tricked everyone yesterday after Sandy basically attacked her, I sensed that she was hurt but she wasn't in pain, I just figured she accidentally hit her foot or something but no, I rush out to see her hair disheveled and tears running down her face.Sandy was on the floor looking as crazy as ever, as much as I know what she's like, I still wanted to cause some pain to her for hurting Adeena. But I couldn't, because her father stopped me, he knew I could kill her on the spot, he's always protecting her
Adeena's P.O.VThe feeling of a warm cloth being placed on my forehead woke me up. My eyes opened slowly and I heave a sigh, taking in my surroundings carefully.I felt sick to my stomach as I lay there still trying to process everything that had happened."Luna" Alison's voice sounds from next to me. "You're awake" she says in relief."What happened?" I questioned turning my head to look at her.Her face held pure relief as she removed the cloth from my forehead to answer my question. Alison and I aren't really friends but she's always here, I think I can consider her my friend."I'm not sure, you blacked out three hours ago in hallway" she replies."Where's Kalan?""He went to get Collin, said he'll be back soon"Collin, why would he-......Collin!.Oh no, I hope he's okay.I had no idea we were that deeply connected to the point I could see and feel what he was going through, I'm not sure exactly what it was but I know it was nothing good.Alison helped me out of bed and to the bat
Adeena's P.O.V"Isaac, have you seen Kalan?" I ask walking outside of the house.I haven't been outside in a few days due to my personal issues, I haven't seen Kalan in two days. I guess I should be used to him going missing once in a while but I'm not.I always want to know where he is.What if something happens to him?.I can die also."He's gone to Lauren's school, she had a small presentation today" Isaac replies after realizing I was the one who asked him the question. He was standing outside talking to some men, who looked as though they were warrior wolves, but also looked peaceful. You can tell the ones who are rebellious and the ones who aren't.The ones back at our other pack were obviously rebellious, but Kalan treated them as he treated Isaac."Why didn't he tell me?" I ask staring off into the distance."He'll be back in an hour, come here and I want you to meet someone" he replies beckoning for me to come down to him.I stand next to Isaac, watching the men as they bowed
Kalan's P.O.VMy alarm finally starts going off, I've been laying here wide awake just waiting for it. I don't have anything important planned for the day, I can just stay with Adeena, we'll be home alone anyway.I turn the alarm off and sat up in bed, rubbing my eyes to rid the tiredness. Ever since yesterday I've felt drained, as before there was a pull on my emotions, Adeena was the only reason I felt this way, she hasn't even woken up since she fell asleep on me.Now she was sound asleep on my pillow, we shared one pillow, I couldn't move her away from me in fear she might wake up, I was actually more comfortable than tired when laying so close to her.'Kal, are you up?'Confused, I turn to look at Adeena, she was still sleeping. How is she mind linking me when she's asleep and how did she know how to do that?.'I'm up, what's wrong?''I'm hungry'"Really Adeena, you couldn't open your eyes to tell me that?" I ask in disbelief.'I'm still sleeping remember'"What should I make?",
Kalan's P.O.VThe rain continues to shower down, trapping us inside the house for just a few hours. I woke up to the light patters on the roof and didn't think much of it, then Adeena woken up and showers came down, literally just as she woke up it started raining harder. It made some sense, she woke up in a very irritated mood, she was meaner than usual. This morning I said she looked tired and she threw a pillow at me, with so much force I wasn't even able to dodge it, it's been two hours and I haven't spoken to her."Where's Adeena?" Isaac asks concerned, looking around the room.He came over earlier than expected for me to help with some papers, I didn't mind because I could use the distraction."Upstairs" I answer monotonously, leaving no room for anymore questions but he just had to ask me something else."Didn't you make her breakfast?" he asks seeing that the kitchen was cleaned."Oh, she's not hungry" I shrugged off. "She hasn't been feeling herself lately"."She's not pregn
Adeena's P.O.V"Why is this place so full of life?" I ask Isaac once we arrived to the pack house in the Crescent Moon pack."No idea, honestly the Alpha is way more preferred here" he answers with a shrug.I take his answer with a nod, we arrived at the pack in just four hours, I was not expecting the place to be so full of life and laughter. Everyone we had driven by was overjoyed to see Kalan, even if they couldn't see inside the car as I was informed earlier. They were very happy to see him.The pack house was different from the Nexus pack, it was just in the pack, it blended in perfectly, except it was a lot bigger than most of the other houses. I've never seen a place so lively before.
Kalan's P.O.VI have been listening to my mother insulting Adeena for almost an hour, I don't know how she found out what happened but she did. All she's been telling me is to get rid of her, I try not to disrespect my Mom, but sometimes she doesn't know when to quit."I bet if she knew just who she was insulting, she would shut up" Isaac snorts."That's why I don't bother saying anything, let her dig her own grave and later she will be the one to lay in it" I respond watching as my Mom and Valerie started to argue about her choice of words and her ridiculous statements."I might have some bad news" Isaac says so casually, making me look at him with a raised eyebrow. "Yeah, our little prisoner died"
Adeena's P.O.VAll I could hear was my heart, thudding against my chest as I tried to stay hidden behind a tree. Had I not followed my own mind and went out to see the pack, I wouldn't have gotten caught up in this mess. The man had shifted into a wolf right before my eyes and started to chase me, at first I stood there in shock before I really understood what was happening.Everyone seemed to mind their own business when he started to chase after me, how selfless of them. It's like they didn't even care that I could die if he catches up to me.I ran as far as I could then I went into the woods, not without getting caught by some thorns, ripping the sleeve of my hoodie, scratching my arm
Adeena's P.O.V"What're you doing?" I ask Lauren, seeing her with a couple of books open along with some papers. She was seated on floor, cross legged with her head propped up by her hands. I'm guessing it was past midnight, she was inside her room for the entire day, I haven't seen her at all yesterday."Oh" Lauren says in a bit of shock, "I have a test tomorrow, so I'm hitting the books" she fake cheers."Oh, may I ask what kind of test?" I ask confused, don't get me wrong, I still have little idea about what they do here."History and Geography" she replies passing me a piece of paper with a few others attached to it, I take it slowly to ins
Adeena's P.O.VWhy did I think Kalan's mother would be gone by morning?.She was in fact, inside the kitchen at this current moment, by the stove doing who knows what. I walked in thinking it would be Isaac making breakfast but it wasn't.My usual bacon and eggs was replaced with something else, something I wasn't used to and definitely something I wouldn't try.I will tolerate her for as long as I need to, while trying my best not to slice her head off with a snap of my fingers."Hey" Kalan chimes behind me, wrapping his arms around me and kissing my cheek. "How do you feel?" he asks resting his chin on my shoulder.
