"Rayna you can't. You married into it. You're bound just like the rest of us. You can't tell her!" Karl warned.

"Watch me! What the hell are they going to do to me? I'm carrying the most powerful bloodline they all want. I just gave birth to the next council seat. What the fuck are they going to do to me?" Rayna demanded.

"I'll tell you what, NOTHING! You know how I know? Because, despite my heritage, I am a human. I'm not a wolf. Oh yes, I've been reading your laws. They don't pertain to anyone who's not a wolf." Rayna explained.
