“I don’t know. I’m hurt and angry. And I just can’t get the sight of you together out of my mind..” She whispered.

“And I would give anything and everything to have spared you from seeing that, if there had been any other way, I would have done it.” He soothed.

“But please trust me when I say this was the only way. And I couldn’t go against police orders. I had to do everything in my power to ensure your safety.” Liam responded.

“What about your safety?” She asked.

“The cops were there, the risk was minimal. But trust me when I say there was nothing to worry about. I was totally fine.” He replied.

At that moment she realized, what if it had gone wrong? What if she had shot him or stabbed him before the police could make it to him? It only takes a second. What if the outcome was different?

Could she have handled loosing him forever? That thought alone caught her in the chest and was more painful that thinking of how he was with her and what he had said. She started crying again just
