Chapter 20

The next morning Rayna heard Liam asking her to wake up. Her eyes felt so heavy. She can’t seem to open them.

“Come on, open those beautiful eyes for me.” Liam told her.

Beep….beep….beep, what is that noise Rayna wondered. Finally, she’s able to squint her eyes open a tiny amount, but the bright light makes her shut them again.

“Too bright.” Rayna whispered. She’s so confused. Where is she? Why is her throat dryer than the desert? And what in the world is that dang beeping noise? It’s driving her crazy!

“Nurse!” Liam talkws into the intercom. “She opened her eyes for a second and talked!”

Nurse? What’s he talking about? She’s trying to search her brain as hard as she can, but nothing seems to be making sense to her. She rememberws being at the New Years Eve party, then nothing.

“Miss Bradley can you open your eyes?” Doctor asked.

She tried and this time is easier, but the bright light still hurt her eyes. She whispered about the light again.

“Oh sorry, Nurse turn down the lights.” Doc
