Chapter 10

Everyone was quiet on the short ride back to the resort. Once they got to their room they all went to bed. It was after 2am. Rayna was both mentally and physically exhausted.

9:03am the cell phone rings. Rayna groans but answers it.

“Excuse me ma’am, this is Mr. Fortier, the resort manager. I’m so sorry to bother you this early in the morning, but I’m afraid I need to see you at the front desk immediately.”

“Ok can you give me 15 minutes to get dressed?” She asks.

“Of course, ma’am.” He replies.

She wonders what’s going on. It doesn’t sound good. There’s a bad feeling in her gut that its not going to be good. After she gets up and gets her clothes on she brushes her teeth and hair.

Rayna checks on the others. They are all still asleep and look dead to the world. After getting her keycard she leaves the room and goes down to the front desk.
