Alpha’s Rejected Slave

Chapter Sixty

Sheila’s POV

“Oh I missed you,” she engulfed me into a hug, smiling widely as we slowly disengaged from each other.

Diana was seated upright with a supporting cast on her broken knee. Earlier when I walked in I heard their laughter, and saw Fidelis feeding her a bowl of soup but as soon as he noticed my presence he simply excused himself and left.

Felt wrong for interrupting their cozy moment but I couldn’t help not checking on her after so many hours had passed. Diana chatty narrated what happened and it wasn’t a major issue and the healer confirmed she would get better in less than two weeks. It was a minor fracture.

“I missed you too, my dearest sister.”

“Sister?” Her question dropped with shock.

“Yes you’re my sister now. One thing in this life family isn't always related by blood or genetics. Blood can be friends. I want you to realize from the onset I

Alpha’s Rejected Slave Chapter Sixty One Sheila’s POV The tension in the air sucked the life out of my lungs, my heart grew stricter with realization of what I heard a few minutes ago. “Why aren’t you in your chamber?” He broke the silence. “Don’t speak to me in that tone. I heard everything correctly Fidelis revealed the truth of our relationship to your father. Is that it?” “He's the original mate of Rosalia.” His teeth screeched on edge. “What?” More revelations got me reeling. Fidelis and Rosalia that’s inconceivable. Who would have known them to be mates. “I never knew him like I thought I did. He knew Rosalia was his mate, and continued messing around without saying a word he let her reject him, and that’s his revenge. He broke us up because he was angry and frustrated.” “Why?” “I met Rosalia as a young child when my parents and hers were allies. I saw her as a little too spoiled child but her infat

Alpha’s Rejected Slave Chapter Sixty Two Sheila’s POV (Few days later) Changed into a light fabric linen dress that flowed to the floor after a soul wash, wiping my hair off water with a towel and oiling the root with a six herbal oil. A shy smile tugged on my lips at the preparation tonight. The smell of roses and wild sweet flowers infiltrated my nostril, staring at the mirror at my reflection I could stop myself from grinning with a wide blush. Satisfied about my look I quietly shut the door to my chamber and headed to a different chamber. Got to his chamber and with a slight push his doors gave away as I walked in. His back turned as he watched outside his window at the full moon with a faraway look plastered in his eyes. “Do you remember the night you sneaked over to the slave's den and we watched the night sky till the moon approached and disappeared but

Alpha’s Rejected Slave Chapter Sixty-Three Sheila’s POV “Careful my Queen, don't exert your energy on simple things, your condition is critical.” “Are you going to scold me while I am enjoying myself or will you join me?” My legs making a mess of the little lake, my palm rubbing over the slight baby bump protruding out of the light blue fabric. A smile crept up my chin today marking five months. After Rosalia was arrested and my marriage to Tagon. At first his people fought against my status and I wasn’t befitting to be his wife but we stood our ground, he almost gave up the throne forfeiting his birthright but our love prevailed. We were married in the multitude of slaves and freeborns cheering as we took our marriage vows, and sealed our bond for eternity. Santiago wasn’t found as he killed some soldiers and escaped being captured, the soldiers are still hell bent on capturing or killing h

Alpha’s Rejected Slave Chapter Sixty-Four Sheila’s POV A cough spasms my chest, peering my eyes open. The first sight I see is the empty bed spot. A sad pain pierced through my chest. He didn’t stir my sleep for fear it would affect the baby’s health. Since I got pregnant he’s been extremely careful to make the pregnancy a smooth, and easy process. Our coupling reduced to a buttery smooth activity not to hurt our baby. It was my first pregnancy, and it was advised we observe every rule but I don’t care being away from him for a second is displeasing. I touched the growing baby bump blowing it a kiss before sliding out of bed and took a glance at the mirror staring at my hair and the trails of sleep. The next few minutes I soaked my body in herbal wash, cleaned my hair, and changed into a nice long gown before hurrying to have breakfast at the empty dining table. Eating without him felt bored b

Alpha’s Rejected Slave Chapter Sixty-Five Sheila’s POV A forceful shove sent my head sinking into a water tank that had me spitting water from my mouth, knocking strength from my lungs. My eyes parted, the room tilting before my eyes. I held my forehead, squinting my eyes from the sudden light, and gnashing my teeth from the pounding headache. My fingers felt my clogged hair filled with mud, and debris, and a large amount of my apparel soaked at the upper part. What is this place and what happened? Slowly the incident that pulled me into this state came floating into my vision memory, the way Santiago sneaked up on me at the garden, exposed his atrocity of messing with the guards food. The last thing I remembered was the bag over my head. A cell room. The room smelled of dead rats, carcasses and mould growing at the corner of the old broken walls. The middle of the room stood two figures. I couldn't see their fac

Alpha’s Rejected Slave Chapter Sixty-Six Sheila’s POV Blood. So much blood. My lips tasted of blood, fingers covered in dried blood, blood flowed out and in me. I smelled of blood, and breathed blood. My vision was covered in darkness but the little conscious thought strolled behind. “Hurry, she's bleeding…” That voice again. I feel strange hands taking me off, placing me on a soft mattress, pulling my blood drenched clothes and performing acts of cleaning, plus different foreign things I couldn’t make them to be and as time flew my consciousness was totally knocked off. How long has it been, when I felt my being? Consciousness slowly grips back to base, pulling me out of the ditch. My fingers trembled, my lips swollen and stinged of dehydration. It took every aura in my soul to tear an eyelid open. The scent of orchid, and other herbal plants burning in the room whipped my nostrils pun

Her clothes are soiled and she’s unflinching in the filth she’s in.” “How long has she been without food and care?” “Three weeks my lord.” He replied tentatively. Simply nod. Rosalia has made it her mission to ruin herself and take me with her to hell. Her unrealistic intentions and revenge to hurt herself are not mindful of the life in her womb. Motherhood is to make her soft, and remorseful but what can I say she never had it in her to think of anyone above herself. The child is a means to an end, its conception meant her dominance, and plot to win a heart that isn’t hers and a throne she wasn’t meant to claim. Alpha’s Rejected Slave Chapter Seventy-Four Sheila’s POV I sat on a saddled white horse and we rode far into the night and early dawn. Tagon split the guards into four sections one to the east, west, north and south while two others accompanied us as we stayed neutralIn the midst. The area is agog with rogues and thieves.Rosalia noticed the trail and escaped into the seven hills which is a dreaded location. Rosalia to have hidden here she thought it impossible for us to come, and if that isn’t the case she must have played a dangerous game to get us trapped, and possibly killed by the rogues who run amok in these areas. Tagon got off his horse and I followed suit walking closely behind him. “Follow my lead and be observant. I think we are led on a trap.” He muttered slowly, his eyes interrogating the entire area with hawkish gazes. “But there are no houses around here so where could she be hiding?” “That hut, mete

Alpha’s Rejected Slave Chapter Seventy-Three Sheila’s POV Time seemed to move in slow motion till it was time to present the young Prince to the guests. My son’s nanny was sent to bring him forth, but when she returned she did without him. She looked fidgeting, her eyes clouded in tears, her body shaking out of fright. A realization hit me. Hope I’m wrong and it’s nothing. “Where's my son?” I screamed. “He… he is gone.” Her eyes fell to the ground. Tagon interjected, “Gone? To where?” “He isn’t in his baby cot and the shawl is lost. He has been kidnapped.” She burst into tears. An echo banged in my chest. “Ni…ko…”Tagon springs up hurrying to Nikolai’s room. The world tends to tilt with large voices screaming but so out of it I was knocked out, my eyes closing in on me. Next I felt my body placed on a bed, a hand wrapped around mine fingers caressing softly. I knew who the hands belonged to. My eye

Alpha's Rejected Slave Chapter Seventy-Two. (Rosalia’s Bonus Chapter) The prince is born. The smiles and pleasure on their faces as they held onto one another. Their joy is evident. Their happiness pricks my skin, stings badly like a venom eating out the very fiber of life in its prey. Every little hair on my skin itches with disgust. I stood hidden behind my veil with fixated eyes on the new parents who were enthralled with each other, they could barely keep hands off one another, a burning sting spread across my chest, reaching my tongue. Tastes metallic, cold, bitter and dirt. Bile forms in my stomach. My eyes took a quick glance on the hidden bulge of my stomach thanks to the bulky costume. As customary a week after the Prince’s birth a wide feast is to be held in his honor and people were invited to grace the ceremony. What better opportunity if not to seize the moment up close with my enemies- Tagon included. He

He stole your cheekbones but got my smile…” Tagon smiles widely, chatting a thousand and one things I couldn’t keep up with. My eyes tired with dark circles, my lips bloated with burning sting, an occurrence after biting on them wailing during childbirth hours. My child came earlier than predicted and to my astonishment a baby boy was born, the next in line of his father. Diana was here hours ago but left to be with her husband after showering gifts, and words of encouragement she too couldn’t get away from the baby.A smile crept up on my chin and lips. The first time after her (Rosalia) disappearance we could feel a semblance of genuine happiness, and calm. The silence that follows I could hear my heart beat thumping loudly in my chest. What! “The baby. Our baby is in danger. She isn’t right in the head to cater to herself and her condition.” Tears coursing my tear duct, worry tugging in my chest. How would she cope outside in the wild, cold and without food and safe warm shelter? What would happen to the child she’s carrying, exposing it to risks? Any moment a few weeks to come she might deliver the healer has marked me due in a week time and our pregnancies aren’t far apart. The smell of the garden blooming took more of my attention unbeknownst someone was also in the garden until I felt a tap on my shoulder and to my greatest disbelief the intruder happened to be Diana who was smiling from ear to ear. I engulfed her into a hug not minding my ever growing large bump protesting the tight hug. “My Queen, your beauty is radiating, stealing the spotlight off the flowers that you seem enamored of.” Fidelis stood down from being Beta and took for himself a land where he worked to start his family with Diana.
