As soon as Stephanie and the children arrived, pack members and guests parted for them, all eyes turning in their direction. Alpha Damien stood near the entrance, his broad shoulders and commanding presence doing little to hide the deep emotions flickering across his face. The moment he laid eyes on his children and Stephanie, his stoic demeanor softened, and his lips curled into a small smile.

Stephanie noticed the sudden shift in his expression. His smile was warm, almost vulnerable, and though she sensed the emotion in his gaze, she quickly averted her eyes, her heart beating a little faster in response. It was easier to focus on her children than to acknowledge the man who had caused her so much pain, the same man who was now blinking back tears at the sight of them.

Damien cleared his throat and quickly composed himself. "Hank," he greeted, as he stepped closer to Stephanie’s father. "Thank you for coming. It means a lot to us all."
