“Thank you, Mr Hunter, it is nice doing business with you.” Stephanie smiled gracefully as she left the room. She met up with her assistants on the ground floor of the building.

“Congratulations, you did it.” One of them said as soon as they saw her.

“Congratulations.” The other one echoed and they all shared a group hug.

“I feel so elated,” Stephanie said as they walked out of the building. “I thought that I would not pull through, I even got scared when I noticed I was the only woman in the meeting.

“I was sure you would do exceptionally well today. You are intelligent and hardworking and you put everything you had into the project. If anyone deserves to win, then it's you”

“Yes, I did put in the work,” Stephanie says with a whimper. She had never worked so hard to bring any project to life as she did with this one and it totally paid off well. “You guys also helped me achieve this today and I am indebted to you two. Also, we will celebrate our success at the office when we return.”

Stephanie stood at the podium, lost for words. She had not in her wildest dreams expected to be honored by her father in such a huge way. She had also not expected to see Alpha Damien again. She glanced at the people gathered and waited for the clapping to die down.“I am short of words” She began. “My father just literally took away my breath and made me speechless in just one stroke.” A ripple of light laughter erupted which made her smile and calmed her nerves.“I want to thank every one of you for honouring our invitation and attending the gathering tonight, and most importantly sharing in our joy. I also want to thank my father, Mr. Hanks” She stopped talking and looked at her father, his eyes were wet and Stephanie gave him a smile before continuing. My father's support and belief in me are the reasons that I have excelled in the world of business. His guidance and patience have contributed to making me who I am today. I also want to thank Mrs Charlotte, she took me in at the t

An overnight success if I must say. Imagine becoming a CEO and heir in just one night. Now tell me, how did you arrive at the part where Mr. Hank, one of the wealthiest men in the world, became your father? It's a mystery I would love to unravel.” He still had a smug look on his face while he waited for her to answer.“It's none of your business, Alpha Damien, you seem to have a lot of time on your hands looking for cheap gossip,” Stephanie said, hoping to annoy him the way he was ruffling her feathers bu

"Did he say something to you?" Dr. Zita asked."I'll tell you more later. Let's focus on the party, please," Stephanie replied.Dr. Zita nodded in agreement but silently vowed to deal with Alpha Damien if he ever tried to hurt Stephanie again. For now, she decided to enjoy the party, knowing that afterwards, they would get to the bottom of whatever was troubling her friend.Throughout the remainder of the party, Stephanie tried not to think about her encounter with her nightmare Alpha Damien. After all these years had gone by, he had suddenly come back into her life and has continued to be a pain in her life. She continued to smile politely to her guests and make light conversation. Luckily her father left before she came back into the hall. If not, he would have noticed her mood and she was not ready to confront her fears now. It was a great relief for her when the party ended and everyone went home. Dr. Zita insisted on going home with her. "You are not in the right frame of min

Stephanie took Dr. Zita's advice to heart and resolved to inform her father about the situation. Since reuniting with her father, she had kept much of her past hidden, burying it deep and deciding to move on. The sudden reappearance of Alpha Damien, however, meant she had no choice but to reopen old wounds and confront the painful memories she had long tried to forget. To do that, she needed help, and her father was one of the few people who could provide it.The next morning, Stephanie woke up anxious and determined to go through with her plans. She knew this conversation wouldn't be easy, but it was necessary. After getting dressed, she took a deep breath and picked up the phone, dialling her father's private line."Hello, Dad?" she said, trying to keep her voice steady."Stephanie, it's a pleasure to hear from you. What do you mean when you say he made your life miserable?” her father asked. Stephanie started to fidget, something he had never seen her do before, and his fear grew. She closed her eyes briefly and took a deep breath. Revisiting this part of her life felt like reopening a scar and turning it into a fresh wound. “I... he...” Stephanie stuttered.“Take a deep breath. If you don't feel like talking about it, we can leave that part out,” her father encouraged gently, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.“No, it's okay, Dad. I want you to know what happened. Maybe finally I can let it all go and forgive them all.” She looked into his eyes, seeking the strength to continue. Her father nodded, waiting patiently.“Ava and Alpha Damien continued to see each other even after we were married,” Stephanie began, her voice shaking. “His father's disapproval didn't stop the affair, and even though he tried to be discreet about it, Ava wasn't. “We’ll figure this out together,” her father promised, his voice firm. “You’re not alone in this, Stephanie. We’ll get to the bottom of this, and if your son is out there, we’ll bring him home.”Or die trying, he pledged to himself. He had lost his daughter once, and there was no way he was going to lose her again—not to her past, not to her scum of a husband, and not to her pain.Stephanie pulled back slightly, looking into her father's eyes. “But how, Dad? How do we even begin to find out if he’s telling the truth? What if it’s all just another way to hurt me?”Her father squeezed her hands gently. “Where there's a will, there's a way. I will find a way.” He kissed the top of her head, reminiscent of the way he used to when she was just a baby. *******************ECLIPSE PACK“What is the problem? Damien stood on the edge of the field overlooking the lush greenery of parts of the pack territory. He glanced around at the pack members beginning their morning routines and took a deep breath, his mind elsewhere. It was Hank's invitation that lingered in his thoughts—a trip to South Africa, a vacation that had taken on a life of its own in his mind, fueled by encouragement from Stephanie and the children.“I think you should go," Chris had told him one evening, sensing Damien's hesitation. "You've been carrying this pack for years, barely taking a moment for yourself. Let me handle things here for a little while. I owe you that much—and more."Damien had turned to his beta, touched by Chris's words. The night had quieted down slightly as the guests had left, but the heart of the pack remained. Under the glow of the moonlight, laughter and music filled the air, while the remaining pack members continued to dance and celebrate. Stephanie and Damien stood together, watching Caleb and Kayla play with the other children, their faces glowing with happiness.Suddenly, Chris approached, his arm around Zita, both of them laughing softly. “Alpha,” Chris began. “Zita and I have been talking, and we… We'd love to exchange our vows and officially become mates tonight, with all of you here to witness it. It feels right on a night like this.”Damien’s face lit up with surprise, then softened with a deep warmth. “Chris, I can’t think of a better moment. No one deserves this more than you. I’ll wear it proudly,” she replied, clasping the pendant close to her heart.Jane approached next, holding a delicate painting of a moonlit forest scene. “It’s a reminder of home,” Jane said softly. “Those times you felt lost, but now you have gotten all you deserve because you are a good person.”Stephanie’s eyes shone with gratitude as she took the gift.

The night before the Luna ceremony, Stephanie lay wide awake, staring at the ceiling, her thoughts swirling with anticipation and excitement. It was hard to believe the day was finally here. She was about to step fully into the role of Luna, something that had once seemed unimaginable. Though she had faced endless trials and tribulations, she had come full circle, returning to the place where she now felt a profound sense of belonging. In the early morning hours, she heard a gentle knock at her door. “Mom?” Caleb’s voice whispered through the door.Stephanie rose and opened the door to find Caleb standing there, looking every bit as anxious as she felt. He began to speak but kept stopping, clearly struggling to find the right words.“Mom, are you… excited?” he finally asked, his voice barely more than a whisper.Stephanie placed her hands on his shoulders. “More than you can imagine,” she replied softly. “I’m nervous too, just like you.” She squeezed his shoulders reassuringly. “But

Stephanie could feel the children’s excitement building as they made their way through the heart of the pack’s community toward Alicia's shop. As they settled down for breakfast, the atmosphere was light with laughter and the occasional clink of silverware. The events of the past few days felt distant, overshadowed by the warmth of family and the security of home. The children chattered excitedly about their favorite dishes, as Stephanie and Damien exchanged glances, each silently grateful for the peace they now had.Just then, Chris and Zita walked in, both of them beaming, a radiance about them that instantly caught Stephanie’s attention. “Hey! Look who’s finally joining us!” she called out with a welcoming grin."Couldn't resist the smell of breakfast, could you?" Damien added, chuckling as he pulled out chairs for them. Chris laughed, nodding his thanks as he and Zita took their seats at the table, the children greeting them with enthusiastic waves and giggles.“We thought we’d pop in to see everyone before the day fully got underway,” Chris said, giving a warm smile around the table. “But truthfully, Zita and I have som

Stephanie stirred, blinking sleepily as the trauma of the previous night’s ordeal washed over her. She glanced beside her to see Damien, Kayla, and Caleb, all nestled close together, their faces peaceful in sleep. The children had insisted on sleeping with them that night, clinging to the safety and warmth they found between them after the terrifying events they'd endured. Stephanie had found no reason to say no; in fact, their closeness had provided her with a rare sense of calm.Taking a deep breath, Stephanie gently placed her hand on Damien’s shoulder, whispering his name as she brushed back the strands of hair that had fallen across his face. "Damien," she murmured softly, her voice barely audible. He blinked awake, his gaze meeting hers, still clouded with sleep. Slowly, she woke the children too, brushing a soft kiss over each of their foreheads. Kayla’s eyes fluttered open first, followed by Caleb’s, both of them stretching and yawning.A heaviness lay on her heart, an ache t
