As the famous saying goes, help will always be given to those who ask for it. And I got its true meaning after experiencing the weird phenomenon at Royal Palace: we both siblings were rescued by fate simultaneously, but with different methods.

After meeting my birth father’s lycan, I managed to stay awake with Nova’s assistance, and was able to attend a family meeting at King’s chamber.

For some reason, King Edgar was back, leaving his Queen at the Vampire Kingdom, which gave him a perfect chance to catch us in the act.

So, now sitting on the couch with Edith, I was fidgeting with my sleeve, waiting for his dad to stop pacing.

Dressed in a black polo shirt and trousers, King Edgar was looking like a common man, his charming appearance made me question my former opinion of my mom’s choice. He had status, money and looks, everything a woman could desire in a man.
