Chapter 57

Theda POV

The heavy pour played a chaotic symphony on my body, drenching my clothes and dampening my spirits as I fixed my eyes on the figure steadily approaching me through the gray curtain of rain.

For a moment, hope flickered in my heart as I half-expected the figure to be Alpha Tyler. I had yearned for his presence, desperately wanting him to be the one braving the storm to be by her side. But deep down, my mind strongly disagreed, warning me not to get my hopes up. My instincts were torn between longing and skepticism.

Finally, as the figure emerged from the misty haze, illuminated by a sudden burst of lightning, my heart sank as I clearly saw the face and recognized it instantly. It was Blake. My hopes evaporated like raindrops on hot pavement, leaving behind a profound sense of disappointment. The realization hit me hard, and I felt devastated.
