Chapter 113

Naomi's POV

The courtroom was the only place where we could have this kind of conversation without any form of interruption so I led him there.

With my hands crossed on my chest, I was pacing from one end to the other, trying to contain the anger that was threatening to burst through my veins.

On the other hand was Albert who was following my every move like a hawk stalking a chick which was definitely going to become its prey.

“Naomi…” he tried to speak but I immediately snapped my head in his direction and with my fingers crossed on my lips, I hushed him.

“I'm going to start the conversation.” I snapped.

With his hands above his head in surrender, he took a step backwards and then plopped on a seat.

Several minutes later, I halted and then swirled in his direction with a force that I couldn't comprehend.

“What happened back there at the dining table?” I asked, closing the gap that separated us.
