OLIVIA'S POV

I decided to give Victory some space since he had no reasons why he had decided to ghost me. I decided to spend my time in the kitchen, assisting Mrs Tessa while she cooked.

Suddenly, the same girl who had informed us that Alpha Rick was journeying to the Dark Moon Pack rushed in, breathing like a chased rat.

“The Alpha King has returned.” She announced.

“So, why should that be the reason why you are breathing so heavily like this?” Mrs Tessa asked.

“I think someone must have offended him because he looks really angry. Worse part of it is, a maid was reported to have attempted to escape when the guards caught her leaving.”

My heart flew like I was the girl who had attempted to run. I left the kitchen to see what Alpha Rick was likely to do to the accused maid.

She was kneeling with her face buried to the ground. I could see her body trembling in fear as Alpha Rick gave her a dead killing glare. She was crying, but it was as if her tears did nothing, causing the angered a
