I felt light weighted the moment he kissed me. It's as if everything is gone. My burdens, my pains, the haunting thoughts... every damn single thing, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for having him once again.

He had to skip work today, spending it with the kids. I stood by the window, watching them play, watching them smile. And this was something Rick never did with the kids. I've never seen them this happy whenever he was around them, I've never seen them jump on him like they did to Raven.

Sometimes I just ask myself if I've been living a fool of myself all those while. Trying to keep the kids away from their father and yet, nothing changed. Instead, they grew to love him even more.
