After getting ready, I waited for him to give me a compliment, as he always used to, but I didn’t receive anything.

“You look handsome,” I said, helping him wear his coat. He wore a charcoal grey suit and a peach-colored shirt, matching my gown.

“I had to. It’s my dad’s wedding,” he said, instead of saying what I wanted to hear. I raised my hand to close the button on his shirt, which showed a lot of his naked skin. He grabbed my hand and kissed it.

“I will keep them open,”

“Why? I meant you need to button your shirt to tie a tie around the collar."

“No. I’m keeping it this way tonight because I won’t be wearing a tie. I want to show a part of my well-built body." He grinned and winked at me. It was funny for him, but I hated it. Not that I hated his look, but I hated that other females would be lucky to see his well-sculpted chest. “By the way, you shouldn’t have come there to the pool party and shooed every woman by telling them indirectly that you’re my wife."
