I didn't return home for a week because I didn't have the energy to exchange words with father. He had his servants come fetch me countless times but I remained adamant.

Nicolas had called that evening about an important document we needed for a meeting the next day but it was at the main house. I sighed defeated as I realized I'd have to go back home if I needed to retrieve it. The next day, I drove back home. I met with Miss Felice at the entrance and she was delighted to see me.
