Chapter 298

Alice was in her office till noon. She heard a knock on the door.

A maid came and bowed. "My Queen, King is calling you for lunch."

"Tell him, I am coming." She replied and the maid bowed to her and then left.

Alice stared at the letters on the desk.

She called a number.

"Hello?"

"Alice." She spoke out her name.

"Oh! My Queen? Good noon. How can I help you?"

"Mr. Carvol, Can you come to the palace?"

"My Queen, is there anything serious?"

"Why? Would you not come if something is not serious?" Her tone was cold.

"A-Apologize, My Queen."

"Don't tell your king anything. I have a place to know about."

"Okay, My Queen. I will come in two days."

Alice cut the call. She stood up and came out of her office.

She went downstairs and reached the dining hall. Her eyes tried to find the man she wanted to see. But he was not there.

"Why are you late? Making your king late is not good, my Queen." Dave enunciated.

Alice cleared her throat. "I am not hungry. You can start eating."

Dave frowned. "You k
