ARAMIAH

My eyes collided with that of the host as soon as I got to the stage.

He took a step backwards. “Have this.” He handed a microphone to me.

I was now the center of attraction. All eyes fixed on me as I gripped the microphone out of the host's hands.

My hands shook slightly. At this point, I was more tense than I had ever been.

The crowd was not helping matters. Their expressions spelt confusion and they wouldn't turn their eyes elsewhere. They preferred to fix them on me as long as I remained on the stage.

I never amassed the courage to look Malakai in the eyes.

I was certain that he would not only be confused by what was happening on stage, but he would also be infuriated by my silence.

If not because of any other person, Kai was my worst motivation to say something - just a word.

But what was I ever going to say? The host was yet to explain anything to me.

“Princess Miah, kindly introduce yourself to these people seated here. Everyone is getting impatient already.
