Today is the day that I will finally get my hands on those scrolls. The sorcerers were in that basement doing whatever it is that they always come here to do. It has already been established that only the king and his sorcerers can gain access to that basement, I had to wait for the king to join them in the basement before I could sneak into the palace building. I had to wait for Beverly in her room, I waited for a good few minutes, but she didn’t show up. She left me a message to tell me to wait a little while for her. From her message, it seems like she was attending to some personal matters, or so she claimed. For all I know she could be screwing one of the other Alphas that graces her bed constantly.

But I waited anyway, I need to get this over with, this is my only chance to steal that scroll and find out why the lycan king has been hiding it from is all along. I got a text from Leroy, he informed me that the king has left the meeting and he is now heading to the basement. I don’t know where Beverly is, but I can’t wait much longer, I don’t have more time to spare. I want to witness what is going on in there, and at the same time I want to steal that scroll and get it out of the that basement. 

I responded to his text almost immediately, I instructed him to sneak into the kings court chamber and err if Beverly is in there. He is still skeptical about this whole thing, but he obeys my command anyways. And he reported back to me that Beverly is nowhere to be found. I guess she is in the Alphas courtyard, screwing one of the Alphas in training. I have no time to waste in this room, so I left a note on her bed, telling her to meet me in the basement,

As I got closer to their location, their voices became louder, and I can now hear what they were saying.

They weren’t discussing and plotting like I thought, they were casting a spell, and I could hear every word they were saying.

They were chanting in a strange language, I’m not supposed to understand anything they were saying, but I do, and it’s so worrisome because they were talking about me, and my people. The sorcerers were trying to unlock some hidden secret in the scrolls. From what they were saying, it seems a healer has been born, but they can’t seem to locate her present location. 

“I am the one true king, I need the healer by my side. Reveal the secrets of the scroll to me, help me find the last healer.” The king said repeatedly. But nothing happened, and the healers seems to be exhausted already. They kept trying to unlock the secrets of the scroll to please the king, but from the look on their faces, it is very obvious that they are not happy to be doing this.

“Keep going!” King Arnold ordered them sternly when he noticed that they were giving up again.

“We need to take a break, my king. Tricking the moon goddess is not a good idea, and it’s even worse if we keep doing it repeatedly. Let’s take a short break and try again in a few minutes.” One of the sorcerers suggested weakly.

“Or better still, why don’t we get the true Alpha king in here and force him to decipher the scroll to us. The moon goddess cannot be tricked for much longer, she made these rules. It is her prophecy, and she purposely put the key to unlocking this scrolls in the descendant of Hinter Huntington, the last true Alpha king. 

You made up this Alphas/Betas Academy just to get him close by while you try to unlock the scrolls. You thought his proximity to the scrolls would help in unlocking the scrolls faster. But it’s been many years already, and these scrolls are still locked. You need him in here, he has to be present while we unlock the scrolls. Without him, the secrets of these scrolls would be lost to us forever. His days in this palace are numbered, he will be graduating with his set in a few weeks. So I suggest you get him in here, before it is too late. If we keep tampering with the scrolls, it will be destroyed. Just get him in here, after he unlocks the scrolls, we can force him to give up her location.” 

“They are right, my king. We have been trying for many years now, and yet we have not succeeded. I’m beginning to agree with them, I think we have run out of options already. We need the descendant of Hunter Huntington, we need Maverick to unlock these scrolls. M sure you can force him to reveal the secrets to you, after all, you have succeeded in turning the werewolves into your personal slaves.” The lead sorcerer chirped in. The King grunted in anger and he picked up a stool nearby and there it to the wall, breaking it into pieces.

“We have come this far without the Huntington’s, I don’t need them to unlock this stupid scrolls. If I can’t find her, then no one else will. I will have her, and with her powers I will be able to subdue the werewolves forever. I’m not listening to either one of you, I won’t stop trying. 

You can take a short lunch break, but I need you back here in thirty minutes. And just so we’re clear, you are not leaving this palace if I don’t unlock the secrets of the scrolls. So I suggest you figure out a way to unlock it before you get back in here!

I’m not giving up, not when we are so close to success. I won’t give up!

I won’t!” he responded furiously as he stormed out of his secret room. I was hiding by the corner, I saw everything and I heard every word that was being said in there. If not for the tension in the air, I’m sure he would have sensed my presence or even sniffed me out. But he was too angry to sense my presence. He walked right past my hiding spot, but he still didn’t notice my presence. 

A few minutes after he left, the sorcerers came out as well, they kept arguing as they walked past me. But my presence was not noticed my them as well. I guess it’s because the whole basement is a bit dark, the energy from the building has-been diverted to that room. I’ve been wondering what these sorcerers were doing down here. At least I now know what I need to do to save my people. I guess I was right all along, King Arnold is manipulating us, he is using black magic to subdue us. But all that will stop, I’ll make sure I put an end to his tyranny and save my people. I believe it is my destiny, I know I can do it.

The King and his sorcerers were not expecting an intruder at this dire moment. The tension between them was a bit high, I guess that is why the all walked away angrily. Well, it works better for me either way, so I sneaked into the room and stood on the very spot where king Arnold had been standing a few minutes ago. There were no sorcerers or magic, but I’m guessing I don’t need sorcery to unlock these scrolls. I has no idea what I was doing, I just stepped on the marked spot, and I picked up the scroll that is sitting in a brightly lit box that seems to be drawing too much power from electricity the building. I felt a cool breeze blowing on my face, and I felt a strange energy flowing through my body. I don’t know how to unlock the secrets in this scroll, I have no idea what to do. So I simply repeated what I heard king Arnold saying a few minutes ago,

“I am the one true king, I need the healer by my side. Reveal the secrets of the scroll to me, help me find the last healer,” I let out calmly

“Just help me save my people, pleas.” I let out pleadingly, but nothing happened. And I was beginning to give up, but then I heard a whisper in my ears,

“Find the last healer, restore your powers, save your people.” suddenly the words on the scroll peeled off the scroll parchment, and it turned into a bright blue light. As I started at the empty scroll, I felt the light flow into my eyes, and my eyes got brighter. I felt so strange, it felt like I was floating in the air, I felt so light headed, and I zoomed out completely. I have no idea how long I was out, but when I came back to my senses, I was standing in the kings secret room, holding an empty scroll. And I could hear Beverly’s voice as she called out to me from the entrance to the basement. I guess she finally decided to leave her other lover’s bed and come down here to get spanked and fucked at the same time.

“I warned you, King Arnold. I told you the moon goddess cannot be fooled. We could have stopped a long time ago, we have tampered with the scroll for too long, and now it has been destroyed.” 

That was the only explanation they could come up with. I was happy because they couldn’t trace it back to me, but my joy was cut short when king Arnold pounced on me and best the crap out of me. 

“I don’t know what you did, but I know it’s you. But guess what, I won’t let you get away with this. I can’t prove that you tampered with those scrolls, but I can prove that you were fucking my daughter, right under my roof. 

That is enough reason for you to rot away in my dungeon, Maverick. I may not be able to kill you right now, but trust me, I will make you suffer for ruining my plans. You will suffer for what you have done today.” He spat out in my face. I was beaten to a pulp and dragged to the dungeon by the kings guards. 

The King claimed that I was being held in the dungeon because I broke the rules and made out with his daughter. But that is a lie, he is keeping me here because he knows I possess the secrets of the scroll, he knows I will find the last healer when I leave this dungeon. 

For the past five years I have been locked up in the kings dungeon and he has been watching me closely, trying to find a reason to kill me. Leroy was in the dungeon as well, he was accused of being my accomplice, and he was locked up in this dungeon along with some of the other Alphas that we’re screwing Beverly as well. The King had take it seem like he was doing the right thing. Everyone knows that I’m not the only one screwing the princess, locking only me and my beta would look suspicious and that is why he had to find the other guys that his daughter was screwing and he had them locked up as well. 

I know I’m going to leave this dungeon some day, and when I do, I’ll go in search of her, I’ll find the last healer, and I’ll make her mine.
