CHAPTER 4 ~ A Strange World

I stirred awake and opened my eyes to an unfamiliar environment. My head totally hurt, and I looked around to see where I was until my eyes landed on this handsome man. I don't know who he is, but I'm getting this feeling of deja vu. I can't really say where I have seen him before or maybe it's all in my head. He seems excited to see me. When he hugged me, I got this strange flashback that hurt my head.
I'm just flustered about how he keeps going on and on about me leaving him alone. He also keeps calling me this name that's obviously not mine. Weirdly, he calls himself an Alpha or something. I don't understand what he's trying to do, I just wanted to leave. Yet he gave me the shocking news that I've been sold to him.
I suddenly remembered the sight I saw before blacking out. I became weak again, she's a beast. Eric cheated on me with a beast, he didn't care about breaking my heart and he still got the nerve to sell me off? Are they planning a vacation with that money or what? This made my head spin around and I fell again, darkness engulfing me.
*********An Hour Later*********I just had a weird dream about me being sold to someone I don't know. Can you believe that? I opened my eyes to see that same man in my dreams staring down at me, he looked worried. Wait… this is not a dream? How can this be real? Why is this real? What would happen to me now?Did he really buy me for five million dollars? What does he want from me? Am I going to be with him forever when I don't even know who he is? This worried me a lot, so I started thinking of ways to escape.
"Are you okay Lea? Does your head still hurt? Do you want me to help you with anything? Just tell me and I'll do it right away." He asked when he noticed I'm awake.
He probably hasn't left my side since. Whoever this Lea is, she is so lucky to have a man like this in her life. He is way too nice to me and I'm not even the one he is looking for.
"Why do you keep insisting I'm Lea? What makes you think I am her?" I asked him instead.
He chuckled softly, "Everything about you. Your face, your body, eyes, ginger hair and even the necklace on your neck. There's a birthmark at the back of your neck too and it's right there. Wait, I'll show you a picture."
He took out his phone and checked for the pictures before showing them to me. If I say I am not shocked, then this would be an understatement. I am way too shocked beyond the meaning of shocked. Oh my days!
She looks just like me but her hair looks longer. I can tell this is not me but our features are exactly the same like we're related. What's even worse is that she has this type of necklace I had since childhood on her neck. The exact same type, how is it even possible? This looks so real, I can't believe this actually.
"Do you remember anything now?" He asked desperately, his gray eyes boring into my green eyes searching for answers.
I shook my head and he sighed probably out of frustration. If this is the woman he loves so much, why doesn't he know that we're different people. I mean, there's a lot of notable differences and our voices don't sound the same, I'm sure of this. Why is he too blind to see the truth I keep telling him? Is he going to make me live as someone else?
I've always seen people with the same hair and eyes color as mine but not one who looks exactly like me. I'm totally speechless. He's such a good man, and it looks like he's very rich. I guess all that won't matter in love. Take me for example, I just got betrayed by the first man I fell in love with. He felt no remorse and the only thing he could think of was to sell me off.
Just thinking about it makes me feel so hurt and angry. How did I not see this coming? How stupid in love have I been to think that something like this would never happen to me? Did he hook up with her because I refused to have sex with him? It doesn't even make sense, I'm so much better than her. I can't believe he chose her over me.
"Are you hungry? What would you like to eat darling?" He asked me again.
"I...I mean I'll eat whatever you give me." Why am I suddenly stuttering like an idiot?
I couldn't think of what to say. I don't want to order too much food and provoke him. I might as well relax a bit and enjoy the luxury before I'm thrown out of here.
"I'll have them bring your favorite meal, just wait here for me. Don't move, you shouldn't stress yourself." He ordered me and went out of the room.
Once he got out, I heaved a huge sigh of relief. His burning gaze is making me very uncomfortable considering the fact that I am not even the one he wants. I thought about what I could do next but nothing came through. He came in a short while later with four ladies dressed in a uniform holding trays of food and drinks in their hands. They all bowed to me and dropped everything at the table.
How did they even cook everything so fast? Or have they been cooking before I woke up? They all walked out of the room quietly, I felt a bit embarrassed and I don't know why. He helped me out of bed and led me to the table.
"This is for the both of us?" I asked with widened eyes. This food is obviously too much for even four people, what on earth…
He shook his head, "No, this is for you alone."
"All this food for me? This is way too much! What are you talking about? What human eats all this food?" I protested.
"We're not humans, that's what makes us different. You must have hurt your head so bad, I think we should visit the psychologist tomorrow." He replied calmly.
"What do you mean we're not humans? If we're not humans with two eyes, two legs, two hands, two ears, a nose and mouth then what are we? Aliens? You watch a lot of movies don't you?" I mocked him.
"Why don't you eat first, then I'll tell you everything that is going on after that. You'll get all the answers you need, just eat."
Strange. I slowly began to eat while he watched me. I felt quite uncomfortable, but I got used to seeing his pretty face in front of me. I can't deny, he's so hot. I'm still wondering what he meant by we're not humans so I quickly ate the food.
