Chapter 66- Danger is Coming pt. 2

Salara’s POV

Waking up to the bed empty was more disappointing than I would like to admit. It has only been one night with Derrick and already I expect him to be there when I wake up. Something inside of me was yearning for him this morning, which is the reason why I set my fears aside and went in search of him.

It didn’t take long to find him already in his office, though it would have been faster if the women that I asked would have been more forthcoming with me. Thankfully I ran into one of the gate guards as I was making my way out of the packhouse and he steered me in the correct direction.

After knocking softly on his office door, I was surprised to find his Beta, Charles at the door instead of my Alpha. It is when my brain registers the two other people also in the room that I realize that Derrick is busy and I should probably come back later, no matter how badly my soul is calling out to be near him.
