Gianna
Honestly, when Eric told me about his club, and werewolves I was anything but scared because he talked about his club with so much reverence that it is impossible to create a negative judgment about them.
Moreover, I believe we should give everyone a chance, and if then they let you down, then you should distance yourself from them.
From the moment I have entered the club, the first thing which I realized was that a club is a close-knit family. Even though some of them are lewd, still, you can notice the sense of bond between them.
However, for some unknown reason, my mind keeps on drifting to a certain male.
Jarek.
Everything about him screams danger. Still, I find myself being drawn to him. The moment I saw him, there was an instant connection between us which suddenly made that stranger into an acquaintance. I don't know what should I call this connection, but whatever it is, it is strong.
Somewhere I am sure, I am not the only one who has felt this way. I could feel that even he noticed this strange pull between us, but seemed as clueless as I was.
The way he was looking at me was something so intense that it nearly caused my breath to hitch in my throat.
Just thinking about him causes these strange feelings to stir inside me.
All this seems scary, and the logical part of me is telling me to stay away from him. And that's what I am planning to do, I will stay away from as much as I can until I don't figure what the hell is going on with me.
Biting my lip, I interlock my fingers in my lap as I wait for Eric to return. He has gone to attend the meeting, and even though he hasn't said anything, I know I am going to be the topic of the discussion.
"Hey."
Lifting my eyes, I find another fine species of man sitting across on the leather seat of the booth in which I am.
Snapping his fingers, he motions to someone behind me and a moment later a guy probably near my age or younger comes and places two bottles of beer in front of us.
He instantly picks up the bottle and gulps down almost half of the beer in one swig. He slightly pushes the second bottle in my direction, but I push it back with a small shake of my head.
"I don't drink." Crossing my arms, over the table, I shrug.
I wait for him to make fun of me because most of the people who find I don't drink mock me as if I am too uptight or weird. I am sure there are many people who don't drink, there is nothing wrong with that.
But instead, I am surprised when he picks up the second bottle and calls someone to bring juice for me.
"How are you finding this place so far?" He leans back in the seat, and runs his hand through his dirty blonde hair, "I know all this must be weird for you, but Eric is family which makes you a family. So I do hope that if not family, but you will think of us as your friends or well-wishers."
"Honestly speaking, I don't feel anything about you all or this lifestyle. Yes, it is different from how I have been raised, but being different doesn't mean being bad." Giving him a small smile, I run my finger on the rim of the glass.
"Eric is my father, and this club is a part of him, so accepting him means even accepting you all. I can never think of separating him from his identity, this is who he is." I wave my hand around the club, "No one has any right to ask someone to change for them, if we want to accept someone in our life we should accept them the way they are."
"Gia." Eric clears his throat, as he comes and stands beside me, "C'mon girl, let me show your room, so you can settle down." He attempts to conceal his emotions which are evident in his eyes.
"Do you need a hand to bring her stuff to her room?" Daniel stands up and wipes his hands over his jeans.
"No, I have already asked a prospect to put her things in the room." Eric snaps his fingers towards someone and I notice a guy comes towards us. "Her room is on the second floor, so inform everyone that I will behead anyone if I find them lingering near her room."
His death glare instantly makes me realize why these people respect and fear him. Not that I was expecting him to be anything different, because he has truthfully shared everything about himself with me.
A sense of pride swells inside me when I look at my father because there is no doubt that he had got anything handed to him on the silver platter, he has earned everything.
"Oh, hey, I forgot to mention tonight there will be a party, so get ready to meet all the other wolves as well." Eric smiles, seeming slightly excited.
I am hundred percent sure that he is excited about the fact that he will get a chance to introduce me to everyone as his daughter, and threaten them with dire consequences if anyone made a move on me.
I will be lying if I say that I am not enjoying his protective father side. In fact, I am loving all the attention he is giving to me. Somewhere all my life I wanted to experience this fatherly love, and when now I have finally got a chance to experience this love I am going to cherish it with all my heart.
"Gamma." A confused voice reaches our ears, and we turn to look in their direction. "There is a problem. There is someone inside her car, who is not letting us come anywhere near her things."
My eyes widen in realization, and I sprint towards my car before he hurts anyone.
Jarek The sound of commotion coming from outside makes me rush out, half-expecting to see wolves fighting with each other. My eyebrows shoot up at the sight which welcomes me. A miniature version of a cheetah is standing on the top of Gianna's car while hissing at the prospects who are trying to approach it. "Holy fuck!" Daniel's voice is full of disbelief, "Now this is something which I don't ever want to deal with." He whistles through his teeth when the cat swipes a claw in the prospect's direction, making him scream like a little girl. "Charlie!" Gianna places her hands on her hip while narrowing her eyes at the hissing cat, "This is not the way to treat our hosts." Suddenly, the ferocious cat, which looked ready to tear anyone who dared to come near her, leaps in Gianna's arms, nearly making her lose her footing. "There is my sweet, little Charlie." She presses a kiss on the cat's head while th
GiannaEven though earlier, I had decided that I would stay away from him, but one look at him and all my resolve dissolved into nothingness. So instantly, I decided not to think much about all these things and just enjoy the attention which I was receiving. But then, just like someone has thrown cold water on my face, a realization draws on me that it is not like he is actually interested in knowing me; he is interested in this new girl he has just met.And these two things are different. This also made me realize that deep down, I was hoping that he would genuinely like me, which is stupid. Because why would he be interested in me when he can have anyone he wants?I am not blind not to notice how every girl in the party was eyeing him. He is not like manwhore like most of the other club members from what I have heard, but still, he has been with quite a few females. And it was not like somebody told me about him or anything, but
JarekThis is the most difficult promise I have ever made to anyone. Because my wolf is driving me crazy, demanding to me to claim her and make her mine. But I know I made the right decision. She is giving me a chance, and I have to prove myself worthy of her. I need to make her believe that it is not just a physical attraction but something more profound and real.I don't just want her. I want to win her trust and her heart.I still haven't found whether she is my mate or not because this mate bond doesn't work the way it is depicted in fiction. There aren't any sparks or tingles or any shit like that.It is just a strong pull, like the other half of you is calling you.I do feel the pull between us, but it can be just a natural attraction between two people, which my wolf is mistaking for mate bond. The only way to find out whether the connection which I am feeling is a mate bond or not is to let my wolf meet h
Gianna When I saw that woman touching him, I just saw red. I was not blind to see that they had some history. Otherwise, how can she behave so boldly around him, she even addressed him by his name or not by his title. I felt like beheading her for even standing close to him. It tore my heart to even think about him with someone else. And then another emotion twisted my heart painfully; I felt disappointed. I almost felt like a fool for trusting him. I felt he had let me down by allowing something like this to happen. I was so angry at Jarek, but even more than him, I was mad at myself for behaving like that. None of us are committed to each other. We have just decided to explore our feelings. So why did I feel so hurt? However, when Jarek held me, the chaos which was inside me settled down while a sense of comfort washed over me. All my anger, sadness, pain just disappeared in the embrace of his warmth. The k
JarekI don't know what happened, but suddenly, my wolf took control. The animal side of me is demanding to claim Gianna, but I know this is not right. The emotions which are ruling my mind are purely animalistic.Pushing Gianna away from me, I move back, creating a distance between us before I could accidentally hurt her.Her chest rises and falls as she takes deep breaths while her bewildered expression pierces my heart. My entire frame shakes violently as I try to fight for control.I had hoped that she wouldn't resist the attraction which is brewing between us, and I am glad that she didn't. If anything, she is allowing those feelings to bloom; she doesn't hesitate in showing her feelings to me. But I didn't realize how my wolf would be affected by this. Because now, when we could feel even Gianna has feelings for us, he wants her.Gianna takes a step towards me, but I stop her from coming any further by raising my hand.&
GiannaThe pain which I felt yesterday was different. It wasn't mine, but at the same time, it felt like somebody was burning me from inside.I was scared for Jarek and from Jarek.I could see the shift in him, and it was terrifying. The way he kissed me, I instantly knew something was not right. It almost seems like he was fighting with himself. How everything became meaningless for me, at the moment when I felt like I was losing him. I can't even describe the amount of pain that seared through my heart. Just the thought of being without him shakes me to the core. This fear made me realize what he means to me. I can't brush off my feelings by convincing myself that these feelings are not real. I wouldn't go as far and say that I love him, but I will not back away from admitting that what I feel for him is not just infatuation or attraction.Great, Gianna, you found the last thing that was on your m
Jarek"Alpha, our consignment has been detained by the pigs." Daniel taps his knuckles against the wooden table, "Some of our inside men has informed me that Scorpian dropped the tip to the pigs."This issue with the Scorpians is getting out of hand, and it needs to be dealt with as soon as possible."Get in touch with the suppliers and find out how soon the next consignment can be delivered. These Australians won't care about our long-term association if we aren't able to keep up with the supplies." Rubbing my chin with my index finger, I lean back in the chair, "And Mark, find out when Scorpians next supplies are going to be released. I think it is time to remind these bastards that what happens when someone fuck with us.""Let's blow their Bando." Tony slams his fist excitedly on the table, "It has been a long time since we have used our firecrackers." Tony rubs his hand together while smirking."Let's do voting." Lighting up th
GiannaThe clubhouse is unusually quiet, yet there is excitement buzzing in everyone here.A rival club helped the police confiscate Wolf Blood's consignment, so they have decided to retaliate. I don't know much about the club's business because no one bothers to tell me anything, which is fine. After all, I am not a part of their club. All I know is that the members, or as they call themselves wolves, have left for a revenge attack. Everyone is waiting for the good news since the wolves have left the compound.I have no idea what is expected to be a piece of good news for these people, but I hope they get the good news they are looking forward to hearing. Some of the full patched members are ordered to stay back at the club along with the prospects to protect and look after the club until the rest have returned. Even though Eric hasn't gone with Jarek, I haven't seen him the entire day and don't know where he is or what he i
Gianna The entire atmosphere of the clubhouse has shifted. And I was not surprised when almost everyone started preparing for a party, leaving a few of the men to tend to the broken wall. However, Jarek ordered them to stay put at the party and any celebration until all over members recovered and security was reinforced. Although there were slight complaints, they all knew what things should be prioritized. So in record time, all the things are back in order, and now again, the club is preparing to throw a crazy-ass party to welcome twins. An involuntary smile uplifts the corners of my lips as my gaze falls onto my lap. Both of my boys are sleeping, completely unaware of the chaos they were born into. Somewhere I am still having a hard time wrapping my mind around the thought that I am a mother. It feels unreal... almost foreign. However, the love with which my heart is bursting is something unexplainable. The emotions are so intense and overpowering that I can only describe thi
Gianna The gate of the club has been blown off, and some of the members are working on fixing a new gate. The front wall is also partially damaged, as well as the side. There are more people patrolling around the club than I have ever seen, and I have spotted a few wolves as well running around the perimeter. Uncle's men are also here helping the members with repairs and even with security. It feels so different watching all of them working together because they are so much different from each other. Wolves are reckless while they are organized. Wolves follow their instincts, and the others are highly calculative with their every move. They are poles apart, yet they have banded together and worked as a team. And they make an amazing team. Well, if not, then I wouldn't be sitting here alive today. I had asked my uncle to update the club about everything and also help Dad to secure the club because I had a doubt that maybe Maverick had something up under his sleeve, and I didn't wa
Gianna Wrapping my arms around myself, I lean against the car as I watch the dead bodies of rogues coming out of the building. A part of me wishes this wasn't how their life should have ended; some of them might still have some hope of returning back from their madness. Until now, I have forced myself to shut down my emotions so I don't hesitate to do what I need to do. But now, when my barriers are down, there is kind of a hollow feeling seeing so much death around me. I wish there were a way to help them, but then I know when you leave your humanity, then there is nothing left to salvage. There are bodies of humans who turned themselves into this hybrid by introducing werewolves' blood into their system. Honestly, there were the worst, and there was this craziness that surrounded them, and there was no point of return for them. Rogues are born, but these hybrids are mad, and during the full moon, they face severe consequences of their greed. Jarek told me most of these can't eve
GiannaCarefully, walking inside the dimly lit hallway, I look around and notice there are numerous doors aligned to both sides of the hallway.I can hear the desperate pleas of people from behind the doors, but I keep moving forward. As of now, they are safe inside, and I don't know who they are, so it is better that they stay behind the locked doors as of now.My body is aching as everything is catching up to me, but I am pushing myself because this is not the time to focus on these things. I need to help Jarek and end all this once and for all.I am still unable to understand why Maverick did all this and what his motive was behind all this. He seems mentally sick, and there is something unsettling about his personality that gives me the creeps. And the thing which makes him even more creepy is that he behaves so normally, like whatever he has done or is doing is something very normal, nothing out of the ordinary. No matter what, I don't feel an iota of sympathy for him... sick or
Gianna Suddenly, I realize that we are still in the enemy camp, and we aren't out of danger. Where the hell is everyone? They should have been here by now. I just hope the tracker is working fine. After I had searched about injectable microchips, I made Uncle arrange it for me and got the chip implanted in my wrist. Uncle must have alerted the club, so they should have been here by now. "Jarek." Leaning away, I look at him and search around, "Maverick, he is nowhere." He instantly frowns and looks around as if he has also just realized this. Before we can think about it much, the thundering footsteps reach our ears, and they get louder and louder. They must have been alerted that something was not right, or maybe Maverick informed them. Whatever it is, we have no option but to fight them. "Stay close to me all the time." He places a quick kiss on my forehead and helps me get on my feet. He steps away from me and lets his wolf overtake his body. As soon as he transitioned into
Gianna Using the wall as a support, Maverick stands up again, still holding on to the chains tightly. His wounds aren't healing, but still, they don't actually slow him down. Even though he is injured, he still attacks Jarek. Jarek's upper lips roll in inside his mouth as he snarls, bare his sharp canines as he dodges Maverick's attack. From the outside, this looks unmatched fight because Maverick is facing Jarek's powerful wolf, but it isn't. Because Maverick, surprisingly, is stronger than he looks and doesn't look like this is the first time he is fighting a wolf. I am too focused on the fight that I don't see when someone attacks me from the side. I am tackled on the ground, and air knocks out of my lungs. I break my fall when bringing my hands in front of me, yet, my face hits the ground. A sharp hiss leaves my mouth as my cheek splits open. But before I can turn around, I am with something sharp in my side. Tilting slightly, I see Stella holding a knife that is coated i
Gianna Just as the message said, a car was waiting for me outside the clubhouse before dawn. My body is still recovering from the birth, but my bond with Jarek has definitely sped up the healing. Nobody except Brooke and Monica knows about the birth because I want to keep their birth a secret. I know all my movements are going to be monitored, so I need to put up a convincing act that I am actually going to do as I am asked to do. I have already shared the next part of my plan with Uncle, and as if now he must have contacted Dad while I am traveling to wherever the hell I am being taken to. My eyes are blindfolded, and my hands are tied in my lap. Since not even twenty hours have passed, I still look pregnant, and even I have chosen to dress in a slightly fitted shirt that focuses on my stomach. If I can fool everyone at the club who has seen me all this long, then there is no way that bastard will be able to figure it out so soon. I just need to stay calm and play my cards sma
Gianna Tonight is a very important night. In a few hours, a lot is about to change. Even though I wish things were different, I am feeling excited as well as there is some hint of fear in me. The kind of fear which you feel when you are about to do something that you haven't done before... or the kind of fear which grips your heart moments before a free fall. Pouring myself a glass of water, I take a large sip as my hand grips the side of the counter tightly. The pain I have been going through has been immense since I returned home. Fortunately, earlier, it was kind of bearable, so I managed to drive back home. Uncle has informed me that he will be sending his men to the club for extra security in case we need a backup. Since hunters have been dealt so now, we have got enough arms and ammunition in our possession to wipe out any entire town. And all this fancy stuff will be delivered to the club once I have left so that we can utilize this to our advantage. I stand straighter wh
Gianna Burton stares at me, looking unphased, but I have read the hint of fear in his eyes. So, the heartless bastard isn't so brave now. Neither Burton nor his son Desmond thought that I would actually go through with my threat. But they didn't know I wasn't threatening them, but I was more like informing them. So, when Lorenzo goes to Desmond with a hunter's knife in his hand, that's the moment when fear flashes in their eyes. And looking around the group of hunters, it is safe to say that Burton and Desmond aren't the only ones who are experiencing this fear. They know after him, it might be their turn. "Go ahead, Lorenzo, we don't have time." I motion with my hand while I study the nails of my other hand. "You know I have to get back to the club as everyone is waiting for me." "You can't do this." Desmond glares at me, and then he looks at Lorenzo with disgust, "You don't deserve to be called a man... because you are following a bitch's order." He points his finger at Lore
