"You summoned me." A voice came and a small body materialized from the dark.

Lucian groaned in exasperation and turned to glare at the Lamia floating before him.

"I didn't. I said I was going to. I didn't!"

The Lamia shrugged its tiny shoulders. "Well, I made things easier for you. You should thank me."

" You wish."

The Lamia cackled. Lucian was used to it, so he didn't really care. "What do you want me to do, master?"

How long are we going to stay here?"

Anna turned away from the floor to ceiling mirror she stood in front of. She'd been checking out one of the dresses Wendy had provided her. Alma's face was drawn, obviously stressed out from staying indoors for almost four days and her hair needed the attention of a stylist.

"I don't know, Alma. We need to speak in whispers. I heard that Werewolves from another jurisdiction visited and they despise humans. We need to do as Lucian says for our own safety."
