Chapter 83

Her top got hooked around the door jamb and she closed the door. She muttered a curse under her breath and reopened the door before retracting the seam of her shirt.

The hallway was dark, void of light and it gave Anna this sense of feeling; danger. Everywhere was still and she was sure that the only people in this building were her, Alma, Lucian and maybe Wendy. She reprimanded herself for being such a scaredy cat. Lucian's room was located two doors away from the room she shared with her friend. It was hard to see in the dark and she utilized her blind instincts to search for his door. Her hands felt the walls on either side of her as she moved.

"You can't see in the dark, I turned off the lights on purpose."
