Chapter 72

They couldn't wait for the elevator to ding. It was going to take a whole lot of time, due to the fact that it was crowded with tenants trying to escape from whatever ruckus was going on on the third floor of the building. The second elevator was at the other end of the hall, a really long distance from Anna's apartment. They took the steps.

It wasn't stressful, the men took it and got to the ground floor in time. It was faster than taking the slow elevator and the men gave each other knowing looks as if to tell each other that they'd been wasting time taking the damned elevator.

As they walked towards the lobby of the building, Lucian saw a car pull out of the lot through the rotating glass doors and broke into a sprint. It was Walter and he was damned sure that the old dude was returning to his estate. He needed to be stopped at all costs.
