When they passed by him, Petl stared at him longingly. Tears brimmed in her eyes.

Lucian heaved a breath and sighed.

There was nothing he could do than wait till it was time to know if her case would be taken up to the universal council.

Lucian knew Felix was going to be at his girlfriend's home. They'd reconciled and he'd promised to make her breakfast and serve her in bed for one month.

So, when he knocked on Aliyah's door and no reply came, he drowned the moans coming from her room and yelled;

"Vera is dead and Petl has been arrested for murder of two!"

In less than two minutes, the door was pulled open with force and for a moment, both of the men now staring at each other with wide eyes thought the door was going to come off its hinges.

Not surprised. Lucian wasn't surprised that Felix was already fully dressed when moments before, all to be heard were moans of pleasure.
