Alice POV
***
I finish my meetings, manage the schedule for next week, and send an email with all the details to Max, the Prince of Dragonair (the realm of Dragons). We have been best friends since childhood and are also business companions. He is the only person I trust after Dad and Ellyn.
Tonight, Dad and I are leaving for Entalia for tomorrow night’s ritual. I’m not getting any good vibes about it, but it has to be done.
By the time I exit the office building, the sky has turned a dark shade of grey. With steady steps, I make my way toward my car in the parking space.
I open my car door, and an alluring scent fills my nostrils. My wolf relaxes, drowning in the pleasure of the sweet, rich scent of earthy forest rain mixed with the masculine aroma of cologne. However, my mind goes into alert mode. My wolf, Rhea, and I both recognize this scent very well. There’s no mistaking it.
It’s him.
A sane part of my human mind screams for me to run—run away from this place, from this realm, and never look back. Believe me, I wish for the same—to escape somewhere in the light, far away from the darkness of my past, where he can’t find me again. But I guess I’m not that lucky.
Rhea howls in pleasure while my human side braces for danger.
I look at my surroundings. The parking area is empty except for the night guard on duty. Ignoring my terrified human instincts, I slide into the driver’s seat and lock the doors securely, taking a moment to keep my emotions in check.
The inside of the car still smells of his essence. It’s hard to control my wolf’s emotions, but I know he is still here, somewhere nearby, watching my every move.
I notice a bouquet of red roses and a small black shiny box sitting in the passenger seat. My mind starts to panic, while my wolf basks in bliss at the mere thought of the devil’s presence nearby.
Rhea wants nothing more than to step out of the car and search for her mate—my naive wolf. I break the connection with her and force myself to concentrate on the matter at hand.
I pick up the bouquet of red roses, which seems to mock me, daring me to act. I open the note attached to it.
In neat, curly handwriting, it reads:
“Congrats, my love. Tomorrow will be a big day for both of us.”
There’s no mention of his name—there’s no need. I know who sent this and why.
Taking a deep breath to calm myself, I set the note and bouquet back on the seat and open the black box. Inside is a white gold ring, crafted in the shape of a crown with beautiful sapphires adorning its edges.
If it’s possible, my panic deepens, and my heart races like a hummingbird. He knows. Of course, he knows about my crown ceremony tomorrow—the entire realm knows.
Suddenly, my phone beeps, and I jump in my seat. Placing a hand on my heart, I try to steady its frantic beating.
I check my phone.
The screen displays a text message from an unknown number. With shaky hands, I open it.
“Whoa! Kitten, don’t panic. I can still feel your heartbeat. I love you, you know that, right? Don’t worry, babe. I’m always with you. ♡”
I glare at the screen in horror. Sure, we can feel each other’s heartbeats because of our bond, but it isn’t strong enough for him to feel my emotions or read my mind.
Placing my phone on the passenger seat, I close my eyes and take a deep breath to calm my wild heart.
Not now, Alice! I tell myself. This is not the time or place to break.
And it works. I drive out of the parking area with a stoic expression.
I want to show him that he no longer has any power over me—not anymore. I know he is still nearby, lurking in the shadows with his signature smirk on his face, enjoying the entire scene. Only, I am not going to give him the satisfaction.
This time, my rules are clear: if the devil wants to play, fine.
GAME ON, MATE. Be ready to lose this time.

I reach my apartment building late at night. I park in the garage and walk to the back of the apartment.
In the moonlight, the back garden looks breathtaking. Nature’s greenery bathes in the silver glow of the moonlight.
I close my eyes and inhale the chilled night air. Just two hours left until we depart for Entalia, the place where it all starts.
---
One year earlier...
In Entalia, Queen Amelia, the rightful ruler of the realm, organizes a grand ball in her castle on the occasion of the blue moon.
People from all ten packs of the realm are attending, along with their prospective alphas and mates. The event provides an opportunity for young, unmated wolves to find their mates, blessed by the Moon Goddess.
Standing in front of a mirror, I look at my reflection. I am wearing a full-length royal blue silk gown, off-shoulder, with crystals shimmering perfectly against my pale skin. My chocolate eyes, enhanced by a smoky eye-shadow look, and perfectly done makeup, pair well with my waist-length raven hair styled in loose curls. Three-inch black Gucci heels and a white gold sapphire ring adorn my right hand—the insignia of the crown princess.
The perfect picture of royalty.
Believe me, I hate showing off my royal status, but sometimes, I can’t avoid it. I don’t want to embarrass my mother in front of the entire realm. Besides, this is my first attempt to search for my mate after turning 20 last month.
Seriously, a mate?
The mere thought of being mated to someone terrifies me. I can’t imagine spending my life with some dominant wolf who demands my complete submission.
Wolves are territorial by nature, and I belong to the royal alpha bloodline. As the future Queen, the concept of submission doesn’t sit well with me. Under strict orders from the Queen, I have no choice but to attend the party.
---
Before descending the stairs, I silently pray to the Moon Goddess that I won’t find my mate tonight.
Completely unaware of the plans the Moon Goddess has in store for me.
Alice P.O.V *** I went downstairs and met my two best friends, Nate and Kara, there waiting for me. We hugged each other. They both turned out to be mates, which they found out a few days ago, and the good part was that they were happy with that latest update. Nate was looking handsome in his black tuxedo, which perfectly fit on his tall and well-built frame like a second skin, styled dark brown hair, blue eyes, and a wide grin plastered on his face. And Kara goes for a knee-length baby pink dress, which compliments her olive-colored skin, and light blue eyes, light make-up, silver-colored high heel, shoulder-length blond hair which hangs down, straight. Both asked in the union when they noticed my nervousness. “What’s wrong?” I shrugged and replied, “Just nervous, and as you guys know, MATE is not my thing.” Kara stepped towards me and tapped my shoulder, while saying with a wicked smirk, “Don’t worry babe, I bet moon go
Warning: This chapter contains sexual content and abusive behavior! *** Beautiful high mountains covered with greenery, river water looks as lustrous as a mirror, illuminated with golden and blue beams of Entalia’s Sun. Outskirt of the entire realm surrounded by dark & thick forest; sky-high length trees, and shiny magical protection fence. The entire realm’s landscape contained four main areas- Royal-high, Downtown, Officials quarters, and Royal Courtyard. Royal high, where royal members live in a luxurious and beautiful palace, a glass castle, at the top of black mountain heights. And they had servant quarters, for royal servants there as well. Surrounded by the endless beauty of nature, with waterfalls and greenery.
Warning: This chapter also contains sexual content and abusive behavior! I tasted a metallic liquid in my mouth- My Blood, and I lost the last bit of control I was hanging on. I bit his lower lip with equal force and was soon rewarded with a taste of his blood. My wolf took over my human mind. She couldn’t discriminate between right and wrong, because Rhea knew nothing more than that she wanted her mate. Now! She wanted to touch him, feel him, and seal a mate bond with him. I couldn’t blame her. It’s the primal need of a wolf, survival, and breeding. She couldn’t help her wolf nature, her possessiveness, hunger, lust, and her dominant side. It was in our blood. And that stupid tingle and the sexy sound of his growl only make it harder. He groaned in front of my lips
Gabriel P.O.V I popped open my eyes, panting heavily. My hand automatically reached the other side of the bed in search of someone. My mate! It was a habit of mine. But I found nothing there. It was empty. She wasn’t there. A sudden panic gripped me at this. A sigh passed my lips, and I kept my eyelids shut. I sat straight and turned the lights on and leaned my head back on the headboard before taking a deep breath in her heavenly scent to calm my nerves, which was still lingering in her entire room. Yes, I’m in her room, in her bed, more specifically. A failed attempt to calm my anger and my wolf, with her mere essence. Yeah, I knew she’s not here. Because she was out there somewhere, escaping from the monster of her ni
Alice P.O.V Warning (18+) scenes, this chapter contains hot sexual content...... leave if you are not interested... Just kidding... Enjoy! Consequences! One threat, every day of my escape, I prepared myself for this moment and always thought, how bad could his punishment go? Because I was not that stupid who thinks that a mere dungeon cell was strong enough to keep him locked for that long. Yeah! I was the one who drugged him with a wolf, spun, and locked him in a dungeon cell. Or what do you think? How I had managed to escape that hell. And now here I was, in front of the devil again and on the verge of death, but still stupid, stubborn, me not ready to lose. “Oh, don’t you
Alice P.O.V By the time I finished my hot bath, it was already dark outside. I stepped inside my room with a towel wrapped around me securely and noticed a beautiful emerald color dress laid proudly on my bed. I guess it came from Ellyn. Who knows my taste so well? It was a beautiful dress, a floor-length gown, shoulder-less with golden embroidery and crystal work on the top. I quickly dressed, set my hair in loose curls, wore a diamond necklace and white gold, sapphire ring. I was no fan of jewels; it was just to maintain a royal status. I checked my reflection in the mirror. Impressed by my job with my hair and light makeup, I applied with the help of one servant. Although with this dress, everything turned out perfect.
Gabriel POV She stood in the middle of the river, bathing in the glory of the moonlight, looking like a fucking goddess. Vision. Undeniable beauty. I wanted to hide her in my arms to save her from other wolves lusting gazes, who were watching her with wide eyes. I wanted to beat the shit out of them, who dare to check -out what’s fucking mine. ‘Mine!′ A growl leaves me, and all heads bend down, who are watching my mate with their lustful wide eyes. She raised her right hand to her mouth to bite into her palm. I could smell the sweet taste of her blood in the air. Blood was dripping from her palm into the water whilst she raised her palm toward the moon and said her vow. “I, Alice Amelia Michaelson, royal heir of the late
Alice POV The night sky always looked promising enough to give me the enthusiasm and hope that ′best is yet to come’. I took a deep breath in spine-chilled air, enjoying the luxurious silver night of my queendom. It was still dark outside. I was on my balcony with a glass of wine in hand, and my head rested back down on my comfortable swing chair. Being the queen of the entire realm was quite a challenging task. I spent my entire month doing my queen duties, renewing peace treaties with other realms, council meetings, waiving disputes of earth businesses, and finally putting my so-called mate a step ahead to hell. *** “Alpha Nicholas, what do you have to say?” Councilor William asked. “Would you be aware of what a shame
Alice P.O.V***Finally, the time comes for what everyone was waiting for, since the faces of some of us revealed, I can feel the anger-filled people in my kingdom as they all stand at the border of Entalia, and in front of them standing an army of witches. Staring at each other, hatred can be seen in everyone’s eyes for their opponents. It sounds crazy but where witches are fighting to prove their superiority over us, we are fighting to save what belongs to us, our home, our people’s. Whether we have different reasons for a fight but ending will be the same for most of us, bitter truth but nobody can do anything about it as we have to do our tasks.I looked downwards towards my hand when someone held me causing me to turn to look towards the two men who were
Alice POV***I am sitting on my throne, hearing generals and Alphas as they are reporting the task I assigned them, they are ready for a fight. Ready to show witches how big a mistake they did to poke us.

The Gabrial POV***I woke up with the horrible pain in my head, cause me to groaning, eyes are still closed as I try to get my phone from my bedside table but found none, I opened my eyes to find out that its not my room, where I am?

Author’s POV***She is standing in a room filled with hi-tech gadgets to protect the objects placed in the middle of the room covered with the glass shield she looked around to ensure that everything is okay and it’s safe to keep the hallows here.
Ellyn POV***“Yes, you can. And if you need with anything, you can ask for help, no worries.” I said to her before cut off the call. I’m standing on my balcony looking at the beautiful morning of Entalia, hearing the chirping of birds, and feeling the waves of cold air falling at my face, and also the warmth of the sun rays.
Gabrial POV***I am in my car going to my pack office in Entalia, Caleb called me earlier and asked if I can come there? It must be something important or he didn’t ask me for visit. He handles all pack business himself just ask my guidance when something comes up that he can’t handle himself.
