When I finally arrive home, I find Jae sitting on the couch and there’s a surprise next to him: his mother. My slight concern at leaving him alone for so long dissipates.

"Do you always come home this late?" Jae complains as soon as I approach, crossing his arms in annoyance. I roll my eyes and approach Luna Vivian to greet her with a hug, "And why the fuck did you take my car, huh? You didn't ask for it.”

"What's mine is yours and what's yours is mine, right?" I reply with a smile that only makes his frown deepen, Luna Vivian laughs, "My classes end at one thirty. I’t a half hour drive."

"Hm, you should buy yourself a car then. Whatever, I’m hungry. Go make us food," he orders. I squint at him, making him take a deep breath and get ready to be nice, "Please."

"I can help you, dear," Luna Vivian offers with a smile, "I'll be there in a second, you can go ahead first."

"That would be nice, thanks," I head to the kitchen with heavy feet, annoyed because I won't be able to have my before
