Chapter Ninety - One

AMELIA'S POV

Weeks went by, and so did days, I sat on the sofa, my eyes glued on the huge TV that settled on the wall.

Tears left my eyes, making my heart constrict as more tears flowed out.

I was upset, I was sad, I was tired.

A lot has happened, and a lot was going to happen.

I knew about the risk it would take leaving for the family house, but home was a place to go when one felt down.

My eyes went to the door for the umpteenth time, praying Max wouldn't barge in just in time to see how vulnerable I looked.

I cleaned my eyes, making sure there was no trace of tears in my eyes, before I went back to my thoughts.

I didn't want him to see me like this. I didn't want him to see how pathetic and unhappy I was.

For the past few days, Max has been trying to make me cheerful, but there hasn't been any improvement at all.

I was yet to tell him about the bad news, the news I knew he wouldn't take well either.
