Alpha Joe's POV

I didn't even need to look up to see who it was. She had come in unannounced as if the room belonged to her. I wasn't surprised, though, especially given the kind of relationship and bond they had.

She said they didn't need my help? Well, I was only asking out of courtesy and because my father had told me to assist in any way I can.

Jay stood up to greet his mother. She hugged him and kissed his forehead. His face flushed a bright red as he smiled. Mama's boy, that was what he was, and that's probably what he would keep being even after becoming a Luna.

His mother shot me a wicked look. I greeted her but didn't get a response. Instead, she repeated herself, "I said there would be no need for that. We have everything covered and therefore would not need your help," she growled.

Her son held onto her hand. "Calm down, Mother," he said. She looked at him and averted her gaze towards me with a vicious look.

She sat down beside him, her eyes still fixated on me. I wanted to

Lilith's POVHis voice sent shivers down my spine; I was terrified. I knew I needed to rise from my crouched position and turn around to provide a response.I slowly straightened up and turned, but I couldn't bring myself to meet his gaze. It dawned on me that he had posed a question and was likely waiting for my reply."Good evening, my prince. I came here to, um, relieve myself," I stammered."Look up when you're talking to me," he commanded, his tone unsettling, a mix of displeasure and anger.I raised my gaze to meet his, and his eyes widened in shock. He quickly scanned the surroundings to ensure no one was approaching or observing us. He moved closer until we were mere inches apart."So it was really you?" he said coldly, phrasing it in a way that rendered it a rhetorical question. I lowered my head in shame, pondering why I felt this way. Was it because of my upbringing or my lifelong timidity and vulnerability?I recognized that he was the crown prince, commanding respect and

Lilith's POV His eyes widened in surprise as he abruptly rose from the chair upon which he had been seated. He scrutinized my face carefully and inquired, "Are you certain about that?" I smiled and replied, "I've never been more certain about anything in my entire life." "Come here," he said in a seductive tone, extending his hand. I placed my hand in his, and he gently drew me closer to him. A broad grin stretched from one end of his face to the other as he locked eyes with mine. "You don't know how happy you've just made me," he said, cradling my face in his hand and planting a soft kiss on my lips. He pulled back and gazed into my eyes, which were filled with desire, just like his own. He kissed me again, this time with intense passion. My legs were on the verge of giving out. He supported me with his strong hand. All I could think about was having him inside of me; I was already wet. I craved him, and even my wolf yearned for him, but I understood he wouldn't be ready for that

Alpha Joe's POVI waited to hear the second voice to see if I recognized it as well."Yes, my Queen, I am quite certain she is," the second person replied. I wasn't surprised that the queen was here, entertaining gossip from a handmaiden. Curious to hear more before confronting them, I remained hidden behind the tree, eavesdropping on their conversation."How do you know? What makes you so sure?" she inquired."I've been observing her - the way she behaves. She gets tired easily, and I've witnessed her vomiting more than eight times a day," the second person explained."Mmhhh… Interesting, so she's pregnant, and they're attempting to conceal it from us?" she mused rhetorically."The other day, she requested a drink. I offered her her favorite wine, which contains alcohol, but she declined and asked for juice instead.""She's definitely pregnant then. I've noticed a few signs myself, and now that you mention it, it all fits together," the queen remarked."Continue to observe, and repor

Lilith's POVI wondered what the favor could be. It was rare for him to ask me for favors; most of the time, he just told me what he needed help with, and I did it without hesitation."Let's hear it," I said, setting down the spoon I held onto the plate."My father wants to treat us to dinner tomorrow evening. He promised to bring you along," he said, his brows slightly furrowed. He made a cute face at me, a subtle attempt to persuade me not to refuse.I giggled and shook my head. He was trying to bribe me, and it worked."What's funny? You won't come?" he asked."Of course, I'd come. How could I refuse when you make a face as cute as that?" I winked at him and smiled. He returned my smile and continued eating."When you come over, just pretend that his food is the best you've ever had. Trust me, it will be," he said proudly. I didn't doubt him one bit. I mean, we're talking about Joseph here, a man who's good at anything and everything."Trust me, I will," I responded. This must be v

Lilith's POVI was feeling utterly perplexed; uncertainty clouded my thoughts. I didn't know what course of action to take. Deep down, I sensed an imperative need to confront the suspicion that had arisen within me. Abruptly, a wave of nausea surged through me, compelling me to rush to the bathroom.Once there, I swiftly rinsed my mouth and descended the stairs, determined to carry out my daily chores. If my suspicions held any truth, it was paramount that nobody should discover.Oh, I fervently pray that this is not reality. My fate would be sealed if it were true. How could I possibly manage if it turned out that I was pregnant? To whom could I turn for support? My mother would be devastated. It's crucial to note that I've never been intimate with Adrian, so if the unthinkable were to be true, it could not be his child. There's only one person with whom I've had any form of sexual involvement—the Crown Prince. He's the one individual who wants nothing to do with me, the one who has

Lilith's POVWere my efforts all in vain? I wondered. Did this mean that despite enduring the unpleasant taste of those pills I despised, I still had to undergo a doctor's examination? "Wow, Lilith, you might be in some serious trouble," my inner thoughts chimed in. "All you can do now is pray that you're not pregnant!"Adrian held my hand and reached the clinic's door. He knocked, but there was no response. He knocked again and again, still no one answered. It became evident that the doctor was not present. "Thank goodness," I murmured under my breath. It was almost as if the universe was conspiring in my favor."He's not here; we should head back to the bar," I suggested, feigning disappointment."Don't worry, love. Let's wait a few more minutes to see if he returns," Adrian reassured me. This was starting to frustrate me. Why was Adrian so insistent on getting me checked out? Why was he being so difficult? I couldn't react based on my irritation; it might make me seem suspicious, a

Lilith's POVThere, standing behind me, was Seline, wearing a sinister smile on her face."Well, well, well, we finally meet again," she said as she advanced toward me. As soon as she got close, she bent down and whispered in my ear, "alone."I was mortified. She had seen me vomit just now. What if she had caught on to what was happening? What if she had the same suspicions I had about the possibility of me being pregnant?I was scared but didn't let it show. She peered into the sink in disgust. Most of my vomit had washed down the drain."I see you're still unwell, and I sense an energy about you, one I can't wrap my head around. Are you sure you're not possessed by a foul spirit?" she mocked."You don't sense anything, Seline. It's still too early to start bickering nonsense." Immediately, the words left my mouth, I regretted them. Where had the confidence to say all those things come from? She was shocked herself, her eyes so wide they looked like they might pop out of their socket

"He made sure I went to him every two hours to check my body temperature, can you believe that?" I asked, acting as dramatically as I could. He laughed heartily, "He did what he had to do. We care so much about you; we can't afford to let anything happen to you."I smiled as he planted a kiss on my forehead and then my face and neck, causing me to giggle. Sonia and Seline were glaring at me from a corner. I kept unintentionally looking in their direction. Work had ended; shouldn't they be on their way home instead of lurking around like predators waiting to devour their prey?"Let me take you home," Adrian said.I nodded, grabbed my bag, and we left."Why didn't you come to work in the morning?" I asked. The look on his face changed to a solemn one. I wondered what the problem might be. He na

Lilith's POV Prince Leo came to inform me that the king had summoned us. I was in the middle of breastfeeding little Sam at the time, so he kindly told me to continue and join them in the courtroom once I was finished. Leo planted a gentle kiss on my forehead and then bent down to kiss little Sam, who was busily suckling on my right breast, before he left. He was an incredibly kind and caring man. Sometimes, I couldn't help but wonder what I had done to be blessed by the moon goddess with such a wonderful partner. I felt entirely at peace with my decision to marry him. After feeding little Sam, who was the last to be nursed since my other babies had already been breastfed, I carefully dressed and made my way to the courtroom. Leo had emphasized that the matter was of utmost urgency, leaving me curious about what it could be. As I reached the door to the courtroom, I felt an inexplicable pull, a strong force drawing me in. It compelled me to step inside. A few steps in, I turned tow

Alpha Joe's POV As I pondered my next words, doubt and uncertainty swirled within me. Should I disclose Lilith's identity and risk potential complications with the Frostwood pack? Or should I come up with an alternative reason for our visit, giving me time to secretly reunite with Lilith? It was a difficult decision to make. In the end, I chose the latter approach. I decided to act as if I had come for a different purpose, allowing me the opportunity to spend some time in the palace and secretly plan Lilith's return with the members of my pack who had accompanied me on this journey. After much contemplation, I realized that concealing the truth could lead to a potentially devastating conflict between Starfalls pack and Frostwood pack, something I couldn't afford. The risk of war was too great. So, I made the difficult choice to speak the truth, hoping that we could resolve the situation peacefully. Inwardly, I considered the possibility that Lilith might be working within the palac

  • Alpha's Fated Mates   Chapter 82

Alpha Joe's POV I turned to him and took a deep breath. "This morning, the Stargazers visited the courtroom to deliver news to my father and me," I began. His brows furrowed, showing his heightened interest. "Lilith is no longer within the boundaries of Starfalls pack," I revealed. His mouth dropped open, and his eyes widened in shock. "Wait, I'm a bit confused. How did the Stargazers come to know this? Did they go searching for her?" he asked, his curiosity evident. His questions were understandable, and anyone would wonder the same. After all, the Stargazers were known for studying stars, so their news typically had a celestial connection. "They are Stargazers, Adrian," I replied calmly. "Their duty is to observe the stars and report significant findings to the Alpha King," I explained. "As they conducted their observations, they noticed the sudden disappearance of four stars that symbolized protection over our pack. These four stars represented Lilith's four young children."

Alpha Joe's POV Their eyes darted between one another and then focused on me. Austria, their leader, cleared his throat before speaking, "My Prince, we have an urgent matter to discuss. While studying the stars, we observed the disappearance of four crucial stars from the sky." He exchanged glances with his colleagues before continuing, "These four stars hold immense significance for the Starfalls pack. Their absence foretells impending danger, and if they are not returned to their rightful place here within our pack, the doom of Starfalls Pack is inevitable." Austria's words left me perplexed. He had spoken in riddles, expecting me to decipher their meaning. What did these four stars symbolize? I needed a clear explanation to understand the gravity of the situation. "I apologize, Austria, but your words seem rather cryptic," I remarked, fixing my gaze on him. Austria turned to my father, who nodded in agreement. "My Prince, I believe you are aware of the situation. The woman you

Lilith's POV I watched as an incredibly beautiful woman walked in. She stood about 5'9" tall, with silver hair and captivating ocean-blue eyes. She looked stunning, like a goddess. Is this the woman Prince Leo is married to? I was completely astonished. A quick glance at the people I had come with showed that they were equally awestruck. I composed myself as she approached Prince Leo, hugged him, and planted a kiss on his cheek. She respectfully bowed to the King and Queen before turning her attention towards me with a warm smile. I swallowed hard as she drew nearer. Her eyes remained fixed on my face, and her smile never wavered. She took my hands in hers, and the entire room's attention shifted to us, eagerly watching to see what would unfold. "I've heard so much about you from the prince, Lilith. You look absolutely stunning, far more beautiful than I could have imagined. It's truly wonderful to finally meet my co-wife," she exclaimed, pulling me into a tight embrace. My eyes wi

Lilith's POV I glanced at everyone, and they all appeared as apprehensive as I felt, except for Prince Leo. His calm demeanor didn't surprise me; this was his home, after all, and he was about to see his father, the king, again. He probably saw him before leaving the house in the morning, so he had become accustomed to it. "Usher them in," a deep male voice resonated from within the courtroom, sending shivers down my spine. Prince Leo held my hand with his free one and whispered, "Don't be scared, my father doesn't bite," he chuckled. I took a deep breath and walked beside Prince Leo, with Sam, Robert, and Clara following closely behind us. As I gazed at the throne, I saw the king seated majestically. He commanded a substantial presence without the need to stand up. He appeared astute and imposing, in stark contrast to Leo. Yet, there was something remarkable about him, a shared trait with Leo: his kind green eyes. I surmised that Leo probably took after his mother in terms of loo

  • Alpha's Fated Mates   Chapter 78

Lilith's POV The next day arrived, and I had barely slept a wink the previous night due to my anxiety. Today, I was scheduled to meet the members of the royal family. I couldn't help but wonder about their perception of me. Would they accept me with open hearts? Or would they merely pretend to like me? I remembered the Prince mentioning yesterday that they were looking forward to meeting me. Personally, I suspected he might have played a significant role in their expectations. He probably convinced them of his fondness for me, leaving them with no choice but to go along with it and feign affection for an omega wolf they had never met before. I couldn't quite understand why, but being in the lowest rank among the werewolves always carried a certain stigma for me. This feeling was compounded by the fact that I had grown up in a home and pack where I longed for love from the people who mattered most. Life had been undeniably challenging until I met Joseph and Adrian in Starfalls Pack

Lilith's POV He gently brushed his fingers across my face, tucking a stray lock of hair behind my ear. "You are breathtakingly beautiful, unquestionably the most radiant young lady I've ever had the pleasure of seeing," he said, a sensuous smile gracing his lips. His smile made him even more handsome, and I felt my cheeks flush at his compliment. "Let's go and share our decision with Sam and Robert," he suggested, taking my hand and leading me back toward the house. When we arrived, Sam was outside, hard at work cutting firewood. He looked sweaty and exhausted in the sunlight. Spotting us, he wiped his brow with a nearby cloth and came over. "My Prince, you're both back," Sam greeted with a playful nudge to the prince's shoulder. The prince smiled and replied, "Yes, we're back, and I have something important I need to discuss with you and your father." Sam's expression shifted to one of surprise as he briefly glanced at me, and then he looked away. I avoided making eye contact wi

  • Alpha's Fated Mates   Chapter 76

Lilith's POV The prince and I were scheduled to have a meeting later today. He had mentioned that there was something important he needed to discuss with me. He emphasized that the outcome of our conversation would decide whether he'd meet with Robert and Sam for a follow-up discussion. I had no idea what he wanted to talk about, and honestly, I didn't care. I was willing to do anything to spend some precious moments alone with him. As the time for our meeting approached, he arrived and led me to the garden, our customary meeting spot. "Lilith, there's something important I need to share with you." I listened intently, my eyes fixed on his handsome face, trying to read his somewhat solemn expression. "We've been spending time together for a while now, and I'd be dishonest if I told you the only reason was to be friends," he said, shifting his gaze to meet mine. "It's more than that, Lilith. I want us to be more than friends; I'm deeply drawn to you." My eyes widened in astonishmen
