ARTHUR

"Ever since I have met your mother and claimed her as my one true mate, I have never had any desire to be with another woman," his father continued the moment they were alone in his father's chambers. "Or to add precisely, I could not even dare appreciate another woman in my head because your mother could hear me and would kill me at that very instant."

Arthur knew where this conversation was going and he feared it.

"Arthur," his father spoke heavily, "You have mated with Chloe."

It was not a question, it was a statement.

Arthur still nodded.

"So, you should be linked," his father continued.

Arthur avoided his father's eyes at this.

"Have you mated with Mila Grace?"

Arthur's head shot up at these words and the memory from previous day where Mila had lay almost bare in her bed, underneath him flashed in front of his eyes.

"Have your mind linked with her?" his father asked automatically.

"I have not mated with Mila," Arthur corrected.

"Not yet, you mean..." his father corrected
