CHAPTER 131ARTHUR & MILA“And that child is your mate,” Victor scoffed as he looked around. Mila had brought them to the hearing chambers of the Daniels – Sharpe kingdom. A few people were present in the chambers and all shuffled out as soon as Mila took her seat.“Sit,” Mila ordered Victor as she pointed at a nearby chair."Sure, but are you sure that child is your true mate?" Victor asked again, walking around the chambers. "Yes, Victor, he is my mate. I love him with all my heart, and he is not a child, he is a man," Mila sighed as she pointed at the seat again.Victor screwed up his face, and Mila knew he did not wish to sit down. He wanted to roam around to assert his power and authority, but the compulsion that Mila had on him, did not allow him to prowl around.“You know, I always occupy the throne. I am not used to sitting at a side,” Victor huffed as he took a seat.“You will get used to it, Victor," Mila smiled, and then added, "Do you know who I am?” she asked seriously.
ARTHUR & MILAMila stepped out of the portal and patted Arthur’s back with a smile. He was talking to his father seriously and it looked to Mila like they were having some kind of an argument.“What?” Arthur jumped in surprise but his anger faded the moment his eyes fell on Mila’s smiling face. She was there, safe and sound, giving him her most radiant smile. How could he ever get angry with her?“Where have you been? Are you alright?” Arthur asked as he pulled Mila towards him and hugged her with all his might. “Did Victor touch you? Did he hurt you in any way?” he asked as he dug his face into her hair.“Can he dare to do it?” Mila laughed. "Can anyone harm me?"“Victor,” Raul Collins hissed furiously. And Mila and Arthur broke apart. They turned to see Raul Collins and noticed that he was staring up ahead.“What?” Arthur spoke and turned to see where his father was glaring and fuming, and found Victor Rivera standing on the other side of the portal, in the Daniels – Sharpe kingdom
ARTHUR & MILA “Oh, move aside,” Mila spoke as she gained her composure. “You cannot bring dead back, Mila,” Raul Collins spoke in shock. “Or can you?” and by the look on his face, he did not know what to make of Mila and her ever growing powers. “No, Raul Collins, I do not think I can bring back the dead,” Mila hissed as she placed one hand on top of the sword and another hand on Victor’s wound, “but even if he is barely alive, I can try to heal him.” And she started muttering under her breath. Her hand over the sword was slowly pulling out the sword from Victor’s body, and her other hand was healing the wound simultaneously. “What were you thinking Arthur?” Raul Collins demanded angrily. “He kissed her,” Arthur bellowed. But it was clear on his face that he regrated his actions. He had acted in a moment of hatred, and he should not have done that. “So?” Raul Collins bellowed. “He kissed her, that’s it. He did not rape her! You could have punched him, hit him, but you had to go
ARTHUR & MILA Arthur has never been so scared in his life. Motif was a clinical psychopath. He had heard that Victor Rivera’s son was a crazy bastard who took pleasure in other people’s misery, but he did not know the extent of it. “Why are you doing it?” Arthur asked in a hoarse voice as Motif pushed Arthur ahead of him and pushed the blade into his back threateningly. “Why do you think?” Motif laughed. “I do not know,” Arthur lied. “Is it because of your mother? Your father?” Motif hit Arthur’s head with something hard and Arthur fell on the floor, wincing in pain. “Shut your mouth, you filth!” Motif spat on the ground, besides Arthur. “Where are your men? I heard they are all held captive here,” Motif spoke to David Keplins. But David Keplins looked puzzled and harassed. His face was contorted with rage and misery. It was clear that he was not in control of his emotions. “What is wrong with you man?” Motif demanded. “I –” David Keplins squinted his eyes and pressed his knu
MILAMila was now sure that Arthur was okay, at least for now. She had willed David Keplins to ensure Arthur’s safety. And David Keplins had obliged. Forced to act on her behalf, David Keplins had hit Motif Rivera on the back of his head rendering him unconscious. She heaved a sigh and turned, but only to find Raul Collins’s unconscious form on the ground. She rushed forward to check on him, but the way the guard cringed away from her, she stopped dead in her tracks. She knew he was right in doing so. After all, it was Mila who had drained the life out of Raul Collins body.“I did not wish to do this,” Mila spoke softly as she stared at Raul Collins pale face. “Is he alive?” she asked the guard. The guard placed his two fingers on Raul Collins neck and felt his pulse. The guard nodded and spoke softly, “but only barely.”“That is enough, I guess,” Mila sighed and she stood up and slashed the air with her hand, opening a portal right next to the wisdom tree.Osho’s curious face appeare
MILA Mila arrived in Arthur’s chambers and was shocked to see the haphazard state it was in. Someone had searched it thoroughly, but for what? What exactly they were looking for? She heard a lot of commotion outside, and given she did not want any distractions, or waste even an ounce of her magic on any other thing, she made herself invisible. Slowly she crept out of Arthur’s chambers and tried to establish a link with Arthur. But she could not. “Let me,” Grace spoke and Mila stepped back in Arthur’s chambers and let Grace take charge. Mila transformed in Grace but the mirror in Arthur’s room said the enchantment of invisibility was lifted. Grace was visible. “I don’t think my magic will hold with you,” Mila muttered to Grace in her head. Grace nodded and sniffed the air. As she inhaled deeply, she knew where Arthur was, at least the direction. Mila took back her body, got dressed and spoke, “Thanks Grace, that is a start, at least.” And turning her invisible again, she rushed
MILA Mila felt darkness engulf her as she hoisted Motif’s unconscious form in the air and dragged him to the main gate of the kingdom. Occasionally she heard thumps and thuds indicating Motif was getting banged in the wall and maybe even ceiling, but she did not care. She wanted Motif to feel incredible pain and this was only the beginning. As the army of Collins kingdom saw Mila drag Motif in the air, a hush fell. They were scared, not of Rivera clan now, but of Mila! A soft ripple of murmur started among the soldiers and soon entire army was buzzing. “This man,” Mila’s voice thundered amongst the crowd, “this man attacked and imprisoned your alpha. He almost killed Raul Collins.” A collective intake of breath from soldiers informed Mila that the soldiers believed her. They knew the gravity of the situation. “He tricked us all, he cheated. Luckily, I was able to heal Raul Collins, he is safe.” At her last words it seemed every single Collins kingdom member had exhaled together.
MILA “Mila,” Rah spoke warningly. “War is not the answer to the problems!” “They all accompanied him here, didn’t they?” Mila roared. “They all jeer when he kills.” “Look at them, Mila, look at them,” Rah spoke imploringly. “Why don’t you check with them, if they really are loyal to Motif. You are supposed to unite all nine kingdoms, you are supposed to be their queen. Your first act cannot be annihilating them all.” “Mila,” Raul Collins spoke with a sad sigh. “Rah is right.” Mila glared up at Motif and though he was unconscious, he twitched mid air. “Incendi,” Mila whispered. “NOOOOO!” Rah screamed as he saw Motif’s flesh catch fire. Suddenly Motif was awake and was writhing and wailing in pain. Everyone retreated as flecks of fire rained down on them. Even Mila’s shirt caught fire but she did not wince. She was feeling the savage pleasure hearing Motif’s screams. “Mila, no!” Raul Collins spoke softly. “You are not a killer, Mila. Don’t go there. Arthur does not want you to
