CHAPTER 122

ARTHUR & MILA

THUD! THUD! THUD!

The sky was darkening now and Arthur and Mila were still in the wild moors, enjoying each other’s company. During the course of the day, they had even gotten rid of the four-poster hangings around them and now they were enjoying the warmth of each other’s bodies in broad daylight in the view from miles. But they were alone… they were sure, they were all alone.

“Do you hear something?” Mila asked suddenly.

“What would we hear around here?” Arthur laughed.

But another loud thudding noise even made Arthur alert now.

“Is it coming –” he started.

“From my chambers,” Mila jumped out of the bed and covered herself with a sheet that had fallen on the ground.

She widened the portal and Arthur went ahead, wrapping another sheet on his body too.

“What happened?” Arthur called without opening the door.

“Sire,” an urgent voice sounded from the other side of the door.
