ARTHUR

Chloe’s words came as a big shock to Arthur. He was doomed if what she was saying was true, which now Arthur thought was true. Well, he was not doomed per se, but he did not want to drag Mila into this. It was his choice. He had chosen Chloe as his mate before, and now he was choosing Mila over Chloe.

“What are you thinking?” Chloe asked with a smirk. “You have funny expressions on your face, Arthur.” The way she spoke his name, it was full of malicious content.

“I am just thinking about you,” Arthur sighed. “I do not want to hurt you, Chloe, believe me, I do not.”

“And yet you have hurt me. You have betrayed me, you have deceived me. You have cheated on me. And yet, you say, you do not wish to hurt me?” Chloe snapped.

“It was not intentional, Chloe,” Arthur shook his head.

“You never loved me, did you?” Chloe demanded with raised eyebrows.

Arthur stared at her for a moment. He had feelings for Chloe at a point in his life, yes, that is true. But those feelings were never that
