04| Treason

"Slave?" Lilith mused to herself. She could feel it, her people were in danger or rather were going to be in danger. Her mind contemplated on whether to ask why, or what he wanted her people for.

They clean day and night, farm, and build. Less food with loads of work were always given to them everyday and Lilith wondered if that wasn't enough for Lucien. For anyone except her father, that could quench his insatiable anger and madness for revenge.

He was unbelievable, the king was cruel and ruthless. "I want them all lined up. Take out the young ones and leave the older one. The pregnant women are to be kept back and only the healthy and strong ones should be lined up" Lucien commanded with a cruel voice.

His voice was so loud that it echoed round causing fear in the heart of the slaves. They all shook so much for they knew who and who would be made to go back to the cell and who would be made to serve the Alpha.

Lilith's entire body and heart trembled listening to him, she didn't have even the slightest idea what he wanted to do, but with his constant grinning, it was going to be bad, awful, inhuman, and wicked.

The Alpha only grinned, rubbing his hands together with a delightful feeling. Hate was the only emotion he bore in his eyes.

"To the field, immediately" Lucien commanded and with his hand still entangled with Elsa's, he turned to leave.

Lilith followed behind even though she wasn't told to. The Alpha knew of this and when his gaze shifted to the left to find her walking behind him, he smirked.

The elders awaited the presence of the Alpha in the field. They were all seated comfortably and at the middle of them remained an empty seat meant for the Alpha.

Elsa stood behind the Alpha when he was seated. She was beginning to love him more, his cruelty turned her on. His words had power, and he held the lives of many in his hands.

The Alpha's warriors were all lined up. They bore with them arrows, a sword and a bow each. Lilith watched, they weren't just normal wolves, they were more like the protectors of the pack.

Her gaze shifted to her people as they were still lined up awaiting their planned fate. The long chains they had on their necks were taken off and another was placed on their hands to prevent them from escaping or running farther distance in a short time without being caught.

Lilith closed her eyes to pray silently, hoping it wouldn't be what she was thinking.

Alpha Lucien raised his hands and his people awaited his command, his gaze shifted and he stared at Lilith. Her blue moon shaped eyes begged for mercy and pity.

Immediately the Alpha brought his hands down, arrows were shot in the air and landed on the floor.

"Begin" The Alpha commanded and immediately his men began running towards the slaves.

"Run, please run" Lilith found herself screaming so loud, she walked closer and stood at the front of the Alpha.

"Stop this please, I beg of you to spare my people from this pain and misery. They are slaves and have no title, respect or name of themselves… please Alpha" Lilith begged and again she looked towards the large field to find her people running and screaming in fright.

Into the bushes some ran, but the Alpha's men followed behind.

Feeling amused, the Alpha stood up to watch. He could recollect the days his people pleaded for mercy to Alpha Cone but they were killed without mercy. The screams of the slaves delighted him so much that he began laughing like the devil himself.

Lilith never thought she would have a reason to surrender to the Alpha, a reason to kneel before him and plead for mercy, but today, she had too. Her people were dying and their bloods filled the soil of the field.

Their endless screams caused her pain and ensured she continued drowning in her own misery, this time worse. She is their princess and yet she could do nothing to save her people.

"I beg of you" Lilith said again… her eyes filled with tears falling freely.

"Watch, you watch as I end all of them…watch as you lose them one by one" Lucien retorted, grabbing her throat. He released his hands from her throat and sat down again.

From behind, Elsa continued watching… She leaned towards the Alpha and rested on his broad shoulders.

Tightening her fist so much, Lilith went on her knees and placed her two hands on her laps while still clenching it. "Please, spare my people and I will bow to you, obey your every command and pay the price for my father's sin… spare them, and I will do as you wish".

Lucien smiled, but it wasn't still enough… he wanted more than just having her kneel to him and beg. "You're my slave, offer me more and I might just spare them for a little longer till I desire to kill them again".

Elsa gave a suspicious look at Lilith, realizing she had heard "my people" for the second time.

She had nothing more to offer him. Slave had nothing to offer their masters. No wealth, no power, no fame, no damn thing. She had everything, but they were all taken from her in just a day.

They were dying, slowly dying and calling out for help. Her people were dying. Still on her knees, Lilith looked first to the right, then to the left searching for something with her eyes.

3 elders on the right, and 3 on the left… two wolves at the right end and two more at the left end standing on guard. Great! She needed to end this once and for all.

Calculating the estimated time she had, and the level of success she would achieve, Lilith needed to look closer for a dagger. Just then, she recalled the Alpha always had one underneath his boots.

She tightened her fist more trying to ignore the screams of her people and focus on hijacking the damn dagger.

With a swift movement, Lilith grabbed the dagger, and with the same fast pace even before the Alpha could make a move she plunged the dagger straight to his chest without remorse or thinking about the dangers. All she wanted was for everything to come to a halt, not minding what might become of her after doing such.

Elsa staggered backwards, gasping in shock as Lilith was immediately seized and thrown roughly on the soil.

The Alpha still had his eyes opened. He smiled while staring at her, "You finally stopped it" He said standing up on his feet, but then again he fell on one knee.

"Take her to the cell and await my next command, every other slave alive should be spared and taken back to their cell" The Alpha commanded before leaving for the infirmary with the assistance of his men.
