Chapter One Hundred

Ava's POV

I saw that Nash wasn't ready to cooperate with me so I decided to employ my secret weapon. "If we don't get this done soon, there will be no dessert for you. And you know what for dessert today?"

"No I don't."

"Well, we're going to have ice-cream. Now, if you don't cooperate with me, you are going to have to watch everyone else take theirs and you won't have any. Would you like that?"

"No ma'am."

"Good. So what are you going to do?"

"If I have two apples and Nathan gives me five more, I'm going to have seven apples."

"So who has more apples now?"

" I do! And Nathan has none."

"So you see, if you add two things together, their sum is usually bigger than one of it alone. Do you understand?"

"Yes, I do."

"So can I leave you alone to continue?"

"Yes you can."

"Good boy."

I stood up and went to check on Natalie and Nathan then I came back, picked up my phone and while I was about to unlock it, the head chef emerged from the kitchen.

"Good evening ma'am."
