She noticed as Daniel slipped away somewhere giving them the privacy to talk.

Breathing in deeply she decided to talk to him properly. There were a few things that needed to be discussed.

"I want to talk to you," She whispered and his ears perked before he stepped aside.

"We can talk in my room," He said before urging her to step ahead of him.

Once inside the room, he closed the door behind them as she faced him.

She was nervous and scared. And amidst all this, she was scolding herself for melting in his arms like that in the morning. But it was like her body had a mind of its own. Maybe it was the warmth of his body or his scent, she didn't know.

"About... About last night, I'm thankful that you saved me." She whispered in a mild tone.

"You don't have to thank me, Evelyn. I had to save you no matter what. You might not believe me but you're important to me," His deep voice was thick with emotions and the sincerity in his voice had her lowering her gaze as she inhaled deeply.
