I was furious. My blood boiled as I watched Alpha Grayson manhandle Otsana, treating her like some sort of animal. I would not stand for this. "How dare you treat her like this?" I roared. "Release her at once, I'm taking her with me. And mind you, never set foot in my pack again, I do not wish to see your ugly, and heartless face ever again!" My attention shifted to my guards, who snapped to attention, ready to do my bidding. "Prepare the cars," I commanded. "We are leaving now." As I turned to leave, I paused and narrowed my gaze at Alpha Grayson. "I know what you did," I growled. "You switched your daughter Sophia with Otsana, your step-daughter. But I will not fight it. The moon goddess has chosen Otsana for me, let's leave it that way ." Inwardly, I seethed with rage at the betrayal. But I knew that Otsana was part of the prophecy, and I would not risk losing her. If not for the prophecy, I would've dealt with Grayson, and his entire pack members "The prophecy will be fulfilled," I thought to myself. "And I will not let anyone, or anything stand in my way." "Please, Alpha Ralph," pardon me. "I do not wish for your wrath upon me, or my pack member, I only did what a father would do for his daughter, which was to protect her." I ignored Alpha Grayson's feeble attempts at justification. He had tried to deceive me, and now he would pay the price. Turning to my guards, I ordered them to take Otsana away. "Handle her gently," I commanded. "She has been through enough." I watched as they escorted her to the car, her eyes downcast and her body trembling with fear and exhaustion. "I would make sure you are safe now ", I mumbled under my breath. My pace quickened as I made my way to the waiting car. My beta followed closely behind me, his eyes darting around the area. I slid into the back seat, but immediately realized that Otsana was not there. "Where is she?" I demanded of my beta. He pointed to the vehicle behind us. "She's in the car behind us, Alpha," he replied. I turned and checked the rearview mirror, and saw Otsana sitting in the back of the other car. Nodding, I ordered the driver to move out. As we arrived at the pack, a flurry of activity greeted us. Pack members swarmed around the car, eager to catch a glimpse of me and my new breeder. The atmosphere was festive and full of energy, but there was also an undercurrent of curiosity and anticipation. Many of the pack members could not take their eyes off of Otsana, who radiated beauty and grace even in her exhaustion. She smiled kindly at the curious onlookers, her radiant smile lighting up the crowd. "It's a pleasure to meet all of you," she said, her voice gentle and musical. I smiled softly as I watched Otsana greet the pack members with grace and charm. Her smile was like a ray of sunshine, illuminating everything around her. As she turned towards me, our eyes met and locked. In that moment, the world seemed to slow down, and all I could see was the beauty and kindness in her eyes. Then, my beta Callan's voice jolted me back to the present. "Alpha, should we take her to the old or new quarters?" he asked, his voice respectful but insistent. I broke eye contact with Otsana and turned to Callan, my thoughts scattering. "The new quarters," I replied. "She deserves the best we have to offer." I made my way to my chambers, my mind still reeling from the events of the day. The halls of the Alpha's residence were richly decorated with tapestries and artwork depicting the history and legends of our pack. My quarters were spacious and well-appointed, with a large bed draped in fine linens and a seating area by the fireplace. The walls were lined with bookshelves and mounted animal heads, a reminder of our pack's hunting prowess. I sank onto the plush mattress, stretching out on my back with a sigh of relief. "Oh, what a journey," I murmured to myself. My muscles ached from the long drive, but my mind was still spinning with thoughts of Otsana and the events of the day. I felt a mix of excitement, exhaustion, and apprehension as I tried to make sense of my feelings. My lips curled into a smile at the thought of Otsana, and I let out a contented sigh. Just as I was about to drift off into sleep, a knock sounded at my door. One of my guards stood there, his expression somber. "Alpha, the pack seer has come to see you," he announced. I sat up abruptly, my heart thumping in my chest. "What is it?" I asked, a note of alarm in my voice. "Is something wrong?" I rose from my bed and followed the guard through the winding halls of the Alpha's residence, my mind racing. The seer was waiting for me in the study, her wrinkled face lit by the flickering light of candles. The room was lined with shelves of ancient tomes and filled with the smell of incense. I stepped into the room and bowed my head in deference. "Seer, you honor me with your presence," I said, my voice low and respectful. The seer's gaze bore into me, her dark eyes flashing with irritation. "Alpha Ralph," she said, her voice cold and firm. "You have much to answer for." Confusion washed over me. "Seer, I don't understand," I replied, my brow furrowing. "What have I done?" The seer's words cut through me like a knife. "You have brought home your doom," she hissed. "Treating her with kindness, as if she were not destined to be the instrument of your destruction." I shook my head, my heart racing. "The prophecy could be wrong, Otsana looks harmless," I insisted, but even as I spoke the words, doubt began to creep in. "You are a fool," the seer spat. "Otsana will be the end of you, just as the prophecy foretold. The seer's eyes narrowed, and she leaned forward, her voice dropping to a low, ominous tone. "She will come to you in the night, and you will welcome her into your bed. And when you are at your most vulnerable, she will strike, plunging a dagger into your heart." My breath caught in my throat, and I felt a chill run down my spine. "No," I whispered, shaking my head in denial. "She would never, besides she is the only one capable of giving me an heir..." The seer laughed, a harsh, mocking sound that echoed through the room. "Good luck with your doom, Alpha," she cackled. "And with your breeder." With that, she swept out of the room, leaving me alone in the flickering light. I sank into the nearest chair, my mind reeling. The prophecy, Otsana… I couldn't bear the thought of her being a threat to me, but I couldn't ignore the seer's words either. I sat there in the flickering light of the study, my mind racing as I tried to make sense of what the seer had said. And then a thought occurred to me, a dark, twisted plan that might just work. A smile curled my lips, and I began to hatch my scheme. I know exactly what to do.Otsana As I stepped through the ornately carved door to my new quarters, I felt like I had been transported into a world of luxury and beauty. "Welcome, Alpha Breeder Otsana," two maids greeted me, curtsying low. "I am Nina, and this is Laila. We will be your personal attendants while you are here." The room was decorated with plush carpets and velvet drapes, with a four-poster bed that looked like it belonged in a palace. I felt a wave of astonishment wash over me. I took a moment to take it all in, my eyes roaming over the rich tapestries and ornate furniture. A pair of exotic birds fluttered in a gilded cage, chirping and trilling a haunting melody as they watched me with curious eyes. I smiled at the birds, feeling a flutter of hope in my chest. Perhaps this new life would not be so bad after all. "Alpha Breeder Otsana," Nina said, her voice filled with excitement. "Alpha Ralph has sent us this beautiful red dress for you to wear to the welcome dinner. He wants you to look yo
Ralph I paced the length of my chamber, my thoughts churning like a storm inside my head. Otsana was beautiful and charming, but the prophecy was clear. She would be my downfall. I clenched my fists, my anger rising. I wouldn't let her have the chance to kill me in my sleep. "I'll clip her feathers," I muttered to myself. "I'll turn her into a slave. She'll suffer before she can ever lift a hand against me." I marched to the door and threw it open, bellowing for my beta. "Callan!" Within moments, the loyal wolf was at my side, his eyes questioning. "Alpha Ralph, what is it?" "I want you to go to the kitchen and tell them to stop preparing for the welcome dinner," I ordered, my jaw clenched in anger. "And I want you to take Otsana out of her new quarters and put her in the slave quarters. She'll take part in the work from now on." Callan's eyes widened in surprise. "But Alpha…" I silenced Callan with a raised hand, my eyes flashing with rage. "Silence, Callan," I growled. "Un
Ralph The crowd parted, and a familiar figure stepped into the light. His hair was silver with age, his eyes as sharp as a hawk's, and his face creased with lines of wisdom and experience. It was Jasper, My elder brother, believed to have perished in the war between the Greyhound and Moonlight packs. My mouth fell open in shock, my heart racing as I tried to make sense of this impossible scene. "Jasper?" I whispered, my voice hoarse with disbelief. Jasper, dead for years, yet here he was, as real and alive as ever. My brother, my right hand, the one I had lost to that accursed war. How could this be? I could feel the gazes of the pack burning into my skin, watching and waiting for my reaction. But I was frozen, my heart in my throat, as I tried to reconcile this reality with the one I thought I knew. "Jasper," I repeated, my voice stronger now. My mind drifted to Otsana, I noticed as she collapsed to the ground, her body quaking with relief. She buried her face in her hands, wee
~RalphI downed my eighth glass of whiskey, the burn doing little to quell the anger simmering inside me. The situation at hand was infuriating, and I tried to pour myself another glass, only to realize I'd finished the bottle."Callan!" I yelled. He rushed over quickly. "Yes, Alpha?" he responded, his voice respectful but tinged with concern."Get me a new bottle of whiskey. This one is finished," I demanded. He looked at me with a mix of worry and hesitation. "Are you sure, Alpha? Not that I'm questioning your wishes, but you've already drunk an entire bottle. You have a meeting with the elders soon," he reminded me gently.I groaned at the thought of the meeting, feeling my frustration mount. "Are you defying me? You know the consequences, right? And yet, you dare to go against me?"Callan's eyes widened slightly, but he didn't back down. "No, Alpha, I would never defy you. I just thought you might want to be at your best for the meeting. But if you want more whiskey, I'll get it f
~Otsana *TWO WEEKS LATER*Everything in the pack had settled back into a routine, and it had been two weeks since Ralph last called for me. I was relieved and secretly hoped things would stay this way forever. He barely seemed to notice me these days, lost in his endless work. I often found myself bored and yearning for something to occupy my time. Being a maid was challenging, but it had its moments of camaraderie with the friends I had made.“You should get down from there, Otsana. The Alpha will be upset if he sees you up here,” Kate said, her voice filled with concern.I was lounging on the balcony, and her warning made it sound like a grave offense, but I knew she was just looking out for me and trying to keep me out of Ralph’s way.I nodded in agreement and headed back to my room, only to find a sparkling, glittery bag placed on my bed. I stared at it, puzzled about who might have left it there for me.Turning to Kate, I asked, "Who brought this bag? I don’t remember ordering a
~Otsana*AT THE PARTY*We got out of the car, and immediately, everyone’s attention was drawn to us. The stares from all around made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I clung tightly to Ralph’s arm, as if afraid the wind might whisk me away if I let go.I swallowed hard, trying to process the situation. The way people, especially women, were looking at us made me feel self-conscious. I knew Ralph was popular, but I had never realized just how much until now.I felt Ralph’s breath on my neck as he leaned in and whispered, “Don’t overthink it. Just stay close to me, and we’ll get through this night together.”I nodded in response, realizing I had no choice but to follow his lead. With no one else around and everyone’s eyes on me like I was an outsider, it felt like I had no other option. We walked into the main hall where the party was taking place. Since it was a charity event, the room was filled with wealthy and influential people.“Welcome, Alpha Ralph,” came a warm greeting. We turn
~RalphThe auctioneer stepped up with a list of items to be auctioned off for charity. As he entered the room, everyone, including me, applauded. He held a microphone in his hands, and the items he presented were stunning.“Thank you all for the warm welcome,” he said into the microphone. “As you know, this charity event is a well-established tradition, so let’s get started with the auction.”The crowd clapped again as he moved to the first item. He raised the microphone to his mouth and announced, “Our first item is a very rare vase. This piece has been passed down through generations and is considered an antique.”“Oooh!” the audience responded in awe.It was no surprise that people were excited; antique items always attracted a lot of interest. I could tell that everyone had heard the news and decided this was the perfect occasion to showcase such a valuable piece.“I’ll start the bidding at $250,” the auctioneer announced, addressing the audience. “Who’s willing to bid $250 for th
~OtsanaWe both flinched at the sound of Ralph's loud voice. I must have been so caught up in my emotions that I hadn’t even noticed he was there. The last thing I wanted was for Callan to get into trouble because of this.Ralph marched toward us, his footsteps heavy and filled with anger. It was clear from his body language that he was on the verge of losing his temper.“Um… I was just trying to protect her from the cold,” Callan said, his voice slightly defensive. “It’s really chilly out here, so I offered her my jacket to help her stay warm.”Ralph’s expression made it obvious that he wasn’t convinced, even though Callan’s explanation was entirely truthful. Ralph didn’t say a word at first, instead slowly raising his eyelids to regard us with a look of frustration. After taking a deep breath to steady himself, Ralph finally spoke. “Just get the car ready. We’re leaving anyway.”His tone left no room for argument, and it was clear that we needed to wrap things up quickly.Ralph walk
