~Sophia

I sat in the moonlight oack's garden with my father, my mind swirling with questions and doubts.

"Father," I said, my voice hesitant. "Why are you so determined to marry me off to Alpha Ralph? You seem so bent on this alliance."

He smiled, a cold and calculating gleam in his eyes.

"Sophia," he said, his voice low and smooth. "I am doing this for the good of our pack. You see, if you marry Ralph, it will create a powerful alliance between the Moonlight and Greyhound Pack.

"And with that alliance," my father continued, his voice taking on a conspiratorial tone, "we can conquer the Dark Shadow Pack." "The Dark Shadow Pack sits on a valuable piece of land that would greatly expand the territory of our own pack. And with you married to Ralph, we will have the manpower and resources to take it."

I swallowed hard, my stomach churning with fear.

As if on cue, my phone began to ring in my hand. I smiled, grateful for the distraction.

"Excuse me, Father," I said, standing from my seat.

I asked, my brow furrowing in confusion.Callan shook his head, his expression serious."No, Alpha," he said, his voice tense and cautious."We aren't expecting anyone," he continued, his eyes narrowed with suspicion. "But I've already sent word to all the neighboring packs, including Noah, the Lycan king. They should be arriving any moment now. The battle is in five days, after all."My jaw tightened, a sense of unease washing over me."Keep an eye on whoever it is," I said, my voice firm and commanding. "And send word to the guards."No one enters or leaves this compound without my permission."I rushed to the gate, my heart pounding with anticipation. As I dre

The thought of spending the evening with Alpha Ralph filled me with excitement and anticipation, my heart fluttering like a bird in flight."I can't wait to see him," I murmured, a smile playing on my lips. I closed my eyes, letting the heat of the water soothe away the day's stresses.Suddenly, I heard a strange voice calling my name."Otsana?"I sat up in the water, my eyes wide with alarm."Did I hear that right?" I asked myself, my heart racing. "Was that my imagination?"I listened carefully, the only sound, the gentle gurgling of the water in the tub."It must have been my imagination," I whispered, my heart stil

~Otsana"Can I at least go pick up my phone from the quarters?" I pleaded as Tabitha ushered me briskly toward the kitchen. "I need to make a phone call.""There's no time for that," Tabitha replied sharply, her voice edged with impatience. "The Lycan King is waiting for you."I sighed, letting my shoulders slump in resignation as I trailed behind her. My frustration boiled beneath the surface. "Tabitha just ruined everything," I muttered under my breath, a mix of disappointment and irritation clouding my thoughts. "I can’t even call or text Alpha Ralph to let him know I won’t make it." Grabbing a tray of food, I moved with deliberate slowness, my mind still preoccupied. "He’s going to be so disappointed," I whispered to myself, feeling the weight of guilt settle in my chest. "I was really looking forward to spending the evening with him."The tray felt heavier with each step as I followed Tabitha out of the kitchen, battling the urge to let my frustration spill over. ~Ralph Seeing Otsana walk away so easily made my blood boil. Every step she took felt like a slap to my face, her retreat as effortless as if I meant nothing to her. Anger churned inside me, a relentless storm I couldn’t contain. “I opened my heart to her,” I muttered under my breath, the bitterness in my voice thick and sharp. “And she repays me by making me look like a fool in my own pack.” Boris, my wolf, stirred in the depths of my mind. His presence was steady and unshaken, a stark contrast to the chaos raging within me. He spoke with a tone both firm and calm, a voice meant to ground me. “You’re too quick to anger, Ralph,” Boris said, his words cutting through my storm of emotions. “You need to learn control. This rage will only cloud your judgment.” I gritted my teeth, every muscle in my body taut with frustration. My hands curled into fists at my sides, the only outlet I had for the fury clawing at my insides. “She should have begged for my forgiveness,” I growled, m

~OtsanaAs I walked down the corridor with my tray in hand, the faint sound of my footsteps echoed off the stone walls, a rhythm that seemed to match the quickened beat of my heart. The corridor was dimly lit, with only a few torches flickering at intervals, casting long, wavering shadows that danced along the rough stone floor. But my attention was drawn away from the flickering light by the presence of the Lycan King, Noah, standing with an air of quiet command. His eyes, sharp and intense, were fixed on me, and I could feel the weight of his gaze even before I met his gaze. My pulse jumped, a mixture of surprise and a strange thrill coursing through me as he pushed off the wall and approached. There was an effortless grace to his movements that belied the power behind them. His smile was enigmatic, charming in a way that left me uncertain of his true intentions. “I believe this is yours,” he said, his voice a low, resonant rumble that seemed to wrap around me like a velvet cloa

~OtsanaI closed my eyes, taking in the apology that felt more real than I had expected. The tension I had been holding onto began to loosen, and my chest ached with the need to forgive him. Pulling back slightly, I met his gaze, searching the depths of his dark eyes, looking for something more than just words.“Ralph, I forgive you,” I said, my voice soft and steady. The words were simple, but they carried more weight than I could express. “But you shouldn’t be here right now. It’s dangerous out there.”His expression shifted, and I saw a flicker of determination in his eyes. “Otsana,” he whispered, his voice low and urgent. “I need to show you something.”He reached out, his hand finding mine and clasping it with a firmness that seemed to say more than words ever could. “Please, trust me,” he said, his eyes locked onto mine. “I promise it won’t take long.”My mind swirled with hesitation. What could be so important that he would risk sneaking into the night? But there was something

~OtsanaWe shifted back into our human forms, our naked bodies steaming in the cool embrace of the night air. The silence around us was broken only by the faint rustle of leaves and the distant hoot of an owl."I found her just a few days ago," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. Ralph's piercing gaze fixed on me, his brow furrowed deeply, disappointment etched into every line of his face. "Why didn't you tell me you found your wolf?" he asked, his tone laced with hurt and confusion. His voice struck a chord in me, each word laden with emotion that made my chest tighten. I bit my lip, unable to meet his eyes. My heart felt heavy, a storm of guilt and regret brewing within me. "I was going to tell you, Ralph," I murmured, my voice soft and filled with contrition. "That’s why I came to your chambers that night." I hesitated, the memory of that moment still raw. "But you asked me to leave, and I didn’t get the chance." ~OtsanaAs I closed the door behind me, the quiet of the room enveloped me, a suffocating stillness that heightened my unease. The familiar sense of dread crept over me like a shadow, making my skin prickle. "Otsana, wake up from your slumber," a deep, guttural voice growled, cutting through the silence like a blade. I froze mid-step, my breath hitching as I recognized the unmistakable voice of Ebony, my wolf. "What do you mean?" I whispered into the darkness, my voice trembling despite my best efforts to sound composed. "Ralph is not our mate," Ebony snarled, her tone sharp and commanding. "The Lycan king is our true mate. You must sever this false bond you share with Ralph and embrace your destiny." Her words echoed ominously in my mind, igniting a spark of defiance deep within me. I squared my shoulders, determined not to let her dictate my life. "I don't care if Noah is my destined mate," I snapped back, my voice resolute and unyielding. "My heart belongs to Ralph, and

~OtsanaTWO YEARS LATERThe sound of laughter echoed through the large packhouse as my twin boys darted past me, their tiny legs carrying them with surprising speed. They had inherited Ralph’s boundless energy and my mischievous spirit, a combination that kept the entire house on its toes. I leaned against the doorframe, a soft smile tugging at my lips as I watched Ralph chase after them, his deep laughter filling the space.“Gotcha!” Ralph exclaimed, scooping one of the boys up in his arms while the other giggled and tried to hide behind the couch. “Daddy’s too slow!” shouted Liam, the braver of the two, sticking his tongue out before Ralph mock-growled and lunged for him, sending him into fits of laughter.Life had changed so much in these past two years. Ralph’s curse had been broken the moment he marked me as his mate. The dark cloud that had once loomed over him dissipated, leaving behind a man who was capable of love, laughter, and boundless devotion. Together, we rebuilt what

~RalphThe hospital room was too quiet, save for the faint hum of the machines monitoring Otsana. My heart felt like it was about to burst out of my chest as I paced the length of the room. We needed to leave before Noah arrived. Every second wasted was a chance for him to track us down. I turned to Otsana, her pale face pulling at something deep inside me. “Come on, Otsana,” I said gently, touching her shoulder. “We need to go now.” She blinked at me, clearly exhausted, but she nodded weakly. I helped her sit up, her body frail and unsteady. She was strong—too strong—but even she couldn’t fight against the poison wreaking havoc inside her. “Ralph, hurry up!” Jasper hissed from the doorway, his eyes darting down the hallway. “We don’t have time for this!” I ignored him, focusing on Otsana. Her breathing was shallow, and just as I was about to help her stand, her body jerked violently. “Otsana?” I froze, watching in horror as she started convulsing. Her head snapped back, her

~NoahThe trembling maid stood before me, her knees almost buckling under the weight of her guilt. She couldn’t even meet my gaze. "Who sent you to poison Otsana?" I asked again, my voice as sharp and cold as a blade. Her lips quivered. “It… it was Dara, your betrothed.” I froze. Time seemed to stop as her words sank in. Dara. That manipulative, power-hungry witch. My fists clenched so hard I thought my knuckles would crack. "Dara?" I repeated, my tone low, dangerous. "Y-Yes, my lord," the maid stammered. "She... she paid me to do it." I cursed under my breath, anger flooding my veins. My vision blurred with red for a moment, and it took every ounce of restraint not to lash out. That woman… she dared to attack Otsana, my queen-to-be? The maid’s trembling grew worse, tears streaming down her face as if she knew her confession had just sealed her fate. I turned to one of my guards and made a subtle hand gesture. "Take care of her." The maid’s eyes widened in horror. “N

~RalphThe guesthouse was quiet, eerily so, as Jasper and I crept through the shadows. The soft rustle of leaves from the open windows barely masked the pounding of my heart. Every corner we turned seemed to be occupied by Noah’s guards. Their positioning was methodical, almost suffocating, as if they anticipated our every move.Jasper nudged my arm, his expression grim. "We can’t keep skulking around here. How are we supposed to get out with all these guys loitering like statues?"I shook my head, my mind racing. "We need to find a way out without alerting them. I already called Otsana… but she’s not answering her phone." I clenched my fists, the thought of her in danger fueling my frustration."You called her again?" Jasper whispered, his tone skeptical."Three times," I replied, my voice low but laced with tension. "No answer."Jasper frowned. "You think Noah’s got her locked away? That bastard would pull something like that."I exhaled sharply, trying to keep my emotions in check.

~OtsanaI woke to a piercing light stabbing through my eyelids. Groaning, I turned my head away, the sudden brightness making my head pound. Where was I? My body felt heavy, like I’d been weighed down by sandbags. My fingers twitched as I tried to push myself upright, but a wave of dizziness forced me back onto the soft mattress beneath me. I blinked several times, my vision slowly adjusting. White walls. The sterile smell of disinfectant. Machines softly beeping in the background. A hospital. My mind scrambled to piece together how I got here. “Otsana?” The familiar voice pulled me from my haze. I turned my head and saw Jessica sitting beside me, her face pale, her eyes rimmed red as though she’d been crying. “You’re awake,” she said softly, relief flooding her features. “You scared us, you know that?” I blinked at her, trying to make sense of her words. Scared? Why would she be scared? Then, like a dam breaking, fragments of last night rushed back to me. The dinner. The fo

~RalphSitting in the SUV parked a short distance from Noah’s mansion, I adjusted my seat for the fifth time. My nerves were on edge, but I kept my face calm. Outside, the night was dark and quiet, except for the faint hum of crickets. My men were silent, their eyes fixed on the mansion as if staring hard enough would give us a way in. Jasper, sitting in the driver’s seat, broke the silence. “So, Ralph,” he began, turning his head slightly to glance at me, “congratulations on the baby.” I froze for a moment, caught off guard. My throat felt dry, but I managed a shy, “Thank you.” He chuckled softly, shaking his head. “The mighty Alpha Ralph, my little brother, speechless. Never thought I’d see the day.” I gave him a small smile, staring out the window. “I saw it in my dreams,” I admitted quietly, almost to myself. “Otsana… she’s the only woman who could give me a child. I knew it would happen. I just didn’t know when.” Jasper grinned, leaning back. “Well, the Moon Goddess cle

~OtsanaA knock startled me. I froze in place, staring at the door, every nerve in my body on edge. Noah wouldn’t knock again. He’d been here moments ago, and he had no reason to knock again. If it were him, he would have burst in like he owned the place—because, in his mind, he did. Another knock came, softer this time. Could it…Could it be Jessica? My breath caught in my throat, and I rushed to the door. If it was her, there was no time to waste. My heart thudded as I cracked it open cautiously. Relief washed over me like a wave. It was her. She slipped into the room quickly, her movements sharp and hurried. “Close the door. Now,” she whispered, her voice low but firm. I slammed it shut and locked it this time, double-checking to make sure it was secure. Turning to her, I saw her sharp gaze sweep over me, taking in my tense posture and trembling hands. “What’s wrong?” she asked, her tone softening. “Why do you look like you’ve seen a ghost?” I exhaled shakily, tryi

Jessica’s eyes darted to me. “Did he pick up?” I shook my head, my voice shaky. “He ended the call.” Jessica’s brows knitted together. “Try again.” With shaky hands, I redialed his number. This time, the phone didn’t even ring. Instead, a robotic voice informed me, ‘The number you are trying to reach is currently switched off.’ My stomach sank. “No, no, no,” I muttered, my voice cracking. I turned to Jessica, my eyes wide with fear. “His phone’s off. What should we do now?” Jessica exhaled sharply, placing her hands on her hips. “Calm down, Otsana. Panicking won’t help.” I couldn’t calm down, not with my thoughts spiraling into every worst-case scenario imaginable. “What if Noah forced an abortion on me? What if Ralph doesn’t know what’s happening here? Jessica, what if—” “Stop,” she said firmly, grabbing my shoulders. “We’ll figure thi

~RalphThe car sped down the dark road, the headlights slicing through the night like twin swords. Jasper sat beside me, his hands resting casually on his lap, but his eyes were sharp, scanning the horizon. Behind us, two more vehicles followed, packed with my guards. The silence in the car was thick, broken only by the occasional hum of the engine. I gripped the steering wheel tighter, my knuckles whitening. The thought of Noah’s smug face flashed in my mind, and my grip tightened further. I swear, if he so much as touched her— "Ralph," Jasper said, breaking my thoughts. "You're gonna crack the steering wheel in half if you keep doing that." I let out a heavy sigh and loosened my grip, though my mind remained restless. “Jasper,” I began, my voice low, “what do you think Grayson’s up to?” Jasper turned to me, raising an eyebrow. “Grayson? What about him?” I shrugged, my eyes fixed on the road ahead. “His silence. It’s unnatural. The man doesn’t know how to stay quiet. It feel
