Byron’s POV

I heard a squeal and assumed that Hanna had told Becca that she was pregnant. Laughter followed so I went to the kitchen, glad that it had gone much better than I had expected. Becca would be grieving for a while to come, I don’t think Hanna will have much more grief to give to him.

“How did it go?” Rena was the one to ask but everyone was definitely wondering the same thing.

“It went better than expected. Becca will probably be sad for a much longer time. I think Hanna only griefed her father from when he was still a loving and kind father. We all know she never had time to do that before.” Everyone nodded.

“Should we check on them?” I shook my head and smiled at Rena.

“No, I think they are having a sisterly chat about us. I heard laughing and giggling before I came all the way out here.” Gabe laughed.
