It was fine. The jacket could be laundered. Alex let himself revel in bliss, in the curl of their scents together, musky with sex. His beautiful mate was heavy on top of him, but of course Alex didn’t mind. His inner alpha was pleased, and a low, rumbling purr started up in his chest as he stroked his ashly hair.

When his knot went down, they’d have to clean up and air out the room. But for now, they could just be present with one another, learning each other’s bodies again. It had been too long. He’d missed Ashly so much. He misses his time with Ashly so much, but now he is back. And his mate is his again.

"Are you okay, baby?” Alex mumbled after a moment, tipping his head to brush kisses on Ashly's puffy hair.

“Mm, better than ever,” Ashly responded, stretching slowly and testing her muscles. Alex Knot needed another minute, and the shift inside Ashly made both of them gasp.

Alex rested his hand on his mate's lower back to still her. “Maybe not just yet.”

Ashly snuggled a laugh
