It's been four months since Alex came back to his home town. It's been four months since Ashly left him without a message. It's been four months since Alex didn't see his mate. But one thing Alex understood in all those four months is that he did wrong to leave Ashly without any reason; even Alex has his own reasons, but still, Alex did wrong; he hurt Ashly more than anything and more than anyone. If only he could talk to Ashly and tell her his problems, he would be sure his mate understood him. But no, he didn't talk to her, and Alex didn't even tell her why he left her. He just hopes he can have Ashly back, even though it seems impossible. But he will try; their bond is still alive. Even though Ashly shuts down every emotion, Alex can still feel Ashly present inside him. "Are you sure she still wants you?" His stupid cousin asked him. Alex and Alvin are sitting inside the pack house. "Shut up, Alvin," Alex hisses; his cousin is really a pain in the ass. Alvin rolled his eye
"Then let me fuck you, Alex; let this omega woman fuck big bad Alpha like you." "What?" Alex mumbled in shock, half not understanding and half overwhelmed by Ashly's proximity and the heat and weight of her body as it pressed up against Alex. "You asked me what to do. You said you'd do anything," Ashly reminded him, her hand sliding up Alex's neck and into his hair. He would smell like Ashly later and would probably have to shower to get the scent off. "So let me fuck you, like you fuck me." It's rare for an omega to be top-notch; it's a rare case. It only happens when an alpha loves his omega more than anyone else, even more than himself. Alex's breath was ragged, and he was having trouble getting his eyes to focus. His inner alpha was practically purring to fuck Ashly. He leaned his head into Ashly's touch without thinking about it. It took him a second to remember the conversation and to parse what Ashly had said. "Give you what?" Ashly leaned closer, so her breath fanned over
Flashback about Monika and Sam before graduation: "Just a few more days, and you'll be off to college. And then we're both going to peruse our dreams," Monika asks her mate, both of them lazing around. Everything is going fine in Monika's life; she got a beautiful mate like Sam, and she got her sister back. But Ashly is behaving badly these days; maybe she is not well. "Yeah, but I'll be back for breaks. To meet you, you know it's my dream to study at a music university and be a part of some band," Sam answered her with a smile. "It'll be months." Monika asks again. "Hmm..." Monika doesn't say for a while, "I'll miss you." Sam turns his head slightly to look at Monika, who is lying beside him. Things are going to change. It doesn't matter how much he tells himself that they will remain the same. They won't. He just hopes nothing will go wrong. Yes, he loves his dream, but for Sam, his mate is also important. He heard how some celebrities hide their relationships; what if he n
Alex was sitting. He had a plastic bag filled with chocolate and candy, and he was apparently sitting on the ground. He had the vague notion that he was waiting for something, but he couldn't recall what. This will always happen when he drinks too much coffee. His head is hurting like hell, but he still wants his answer. He wants to know who Ashly's new lover is, if Ashly really moved on, why she didn't break their bond, and why the hell she told Alex to fuck her three months ago. Is because she wants to take revenge, but Alex knows Ashly is not a cheater. But Alex had already accused her of cheating on her lover. "Mum, who is that?" At the sound of the childish voice, Alex looked up and found Ashly standing just a short distance away. She had grocery bags in one hand, and the other hand was clutched around a much smaller one. Beside her, Adom was goggling at Alex with wide eyes. "Mum, who the hell is he? Oh, my God, is he a thief? Uncle Win is also not here. What will happen no
As soon as Moni was gone, Ashly's gaze turned to Alex, who swallowed heavily and tried not to shake too noticeably. "If I'd known," he said, still stuck on Adom as my son, "nothing could have stopped me from coming back to you." "Do you remember when I told you about one surprise before I left for my university?" Ashly asked him in a cold tone, which made Alex gulp. "Yea" "I was pregnant at that time, but I don't want to tell you because you have your own duties. After you didn't come, I went to see you by myself, but of course I couldn't find you." "Ashly, I am sorry". "If it's not my son, Alex, I never even want you to see my face". Ashly's scent soured. It wasn't the harsh burning-plastic smell just yet, but more like vinegar, sad, and a little wry. "I wasn't enough on my own; is that what you're saying?" "No, that's not what I—" Alex scrubbed his hands through his hair in frustration. He was exceptionally aware of Adom, watching them avidly with his little hand still clutch
Alex swallowed thickly. "You told him about me? Does he know he's got one more parent?" "Well, what was I supposed to do? Most of the other kids at preschool have more than one parent; of course he was going to ask," Ashly grumbled. She crossed her arms over her chest defensively and still wouldn't quite meet Alex's eyes. But her scent hadn't soured; it had just sort of gotten weaker, so she wasn't mad, just embarrassed, Alex guessed. So he took mercy on Ashly and let it rest. It was enough to know that Ashly hadn't pretended like he didn't exist. He hoped Ashly had told Adom good things about him, and maybe at some point he would ask, but for now, it was enough. But Alex is really excited to meet his son and to hug and kiss him. Adom looks really precious, and he is an exact copy of Ashly; even Ashly denied this. He reached out and curled his fingers around Ashly's wrist, stroking rhythmically along the line of a vein where it stood out blue beneath the thin skin of her inner arm.
"What the hell is wrong with your family? I am going to kill your grandfather," Ashly hissed, which made Alex smile a tiny bit. "Well, he is dead already." Alex massages his temper awkwardly when Ashly raises her eyebrows at him again. "And what about letters? Who sent a letter to man? Why the fuck didn't he show me your letters? Why is everyone doing this to our relationship? Do they think it's funny?" "What?" Alex said, his brow furrowing further. "I sent them. They definitely sent it to Man. I can't send you directly because of my grandfather; not even Allen knows her, but Man. Grandfather doesn't know much about him." He reached into his pocket for his phone, showing Ashly his writing pad, where he wrote a soft copy before sending a hard copy to Man, and the long series of letters he'd sent to Ashly, just like Alex told her. Ashly took the phone, scrolling with wide eyes, and then she looked up at Alex, and they both made the realization at the same time. "Why did Man do this?
Alex has always been the type of person who prefers to keep his feelings on the downlow. His feelings regarding everything in his life are intense. He wouldn't say that he isn't intense because the fire that burns in his chest every time he looks at Ashly is very intense. He prefers to show his feelings subtly, preferring to come off as casual and easy-going as if nothing affects him. At this moment, however, when he's pressed close to Ashly, so close that he can smell his mate's scent every time he breathes, so close that Alex can hear the steady and soothing beating of his Ashly heart, Alex doesn't want to be subtle. He really misses all of this, but now that he is okay, everything is okay. There is no purpose in being subtle anymore. Now that he already has Ashly back in his arms, he has no plans to be subtle. He wants to shower Ashly with all his affections, though hopefully not so much to the point that Ashly feels suffocated and can no longer stand him. "Alex," Ashly whispers.
