Elevena found it hard to believe that he had been such a pitiful child, spending his entire childhood yearning for the love of his parents.

However, she was able to empathize with him on some level because her upbringing was not significantly different from his.

After hearing about Damon's childhood, she realized that theirs was similar in some ways, which was surprising to her because she had always believed that no one could have had a more difficult childhood than she did.

She initially felt sorry for him, but then she came to the realization that it was not her fault that he was taking out his frustration on her.

"Why am I being punished for all of this if it wasn't even my fault in the first place?" Elevena said.

Peter nodded and smiled. "You are correct. It's not your fault, but now that we've all reached adulthood, our destinies are intertwined with one another's."

Even though Elevena was confused by what he was saying, she did not stop him.

Peter finished his sentence wi
