Chapter 2

"Alpha Luciano!" Beta Chris called, as he entered into the Alpha's office.

"Not now Beta Chris, I'm busy" Alpha Luciano replied, his eyes still fixed on his laptop.

"You have to see this, now!" He emphasized the word, and Alpha Luciano looked at him.

"What is it?" He asked, and they both hurriedly left the house.

"Look!" Beta Chris said, pointing at the wonder in the sky.

It was an Eclipsed Union.

The sun and the moon had aligned in the sky, creating a mesmerizing celestial event. The sun and the moon appeared side by side, their radiant glows slowly merging into a single, blood-red orb that cast an eerie and ominous light upon the pack.

"You  know what this sign means, right?" Beta Chris asked, looking at Alpha Luciano, who furrowed his brow.

"The new Alpha is born" Alpha Luciano muttered, his gaze locked on the eclipsed union.

Months past and Elmira has already given birth to a beautiful daughter, she was just the exact carbon copy of Alpha Luciano.

"Elmira!, you have to hurry up!" Grandma reminded her and she nodded.

"See you later, Hailey" She muttered, placing a kiss on Hailey's lip.

Elmira kissed Grandma, before leaving the house. She was excited because she got a job as an assistant in a big E-commerce company. She stopped a taxi which drove her to the location of the Company.

Feeling nauseous, she exhaled and inhaled before walking inside. Elmira met with the receptionist who took her to the CEO's, which was on the 66th floor.

"Good morning sir" Elmira simply greeted, with a bow.

"Morning," The CEO replied, turning his seat.

Jaws dropped when Elmira saw who stood in front of her. Her new boss was her ex-husband, the Alpha who rejected her for his mistress, Great!.

"Your name!?" Alpha Luciano asked, flipping the files in his hand. His gaze was still down, he raised them when he waited for some seconds, without a reply from her.

"Elmira Jones… Elmira Jones, that's my name" She stammered.

"Elmira Jones!, have a seat" Alpha Luciano said, maintaining his eyes on her.

She looked different in his eyes, more fairer, and prettier. Guess, he was wrong after all, she didn't leave the city.

"You want to work for me? As my assistant? Is  that how you want to get back to me?" He asked, curving his lip into a smile. His eyes scanned through her entire body,and it landed on her lip, it looked so tempting.

"I apologize, Alpha. I applied for the job while searching for employment,and it  seemed like a good fit" Her response appeared to surprise him.

Leaning back in his seat, he gazed at her, slowly running a hand over his lip. "You didn't know I was the CEO? Unbelievable!" he exclaimed, and she scoffed softly.

He hadn't lost his pride at all. "I had no clue," she replied, grasping the hem of her dress.

"Why should I hire you?" He inquired further, causing her to swallow nervously.

"Because I possess the qualifications you require. It's simple as that" Her response was quick, making Luciano turn his attention to her.

She was no longer the timid Elmira he once knew, and somehow, it astonished him. "Interesting," he muttered.

"So, do I get the job?"

"Hmmm."

"Hmmm?" She raised an eyebrow, while Alpha Luciano continued to gaze at her.

"You're hired," He said, and a smile shone through her eyes. She clung to her bag as a young lady arrived minutes later to escort her to her office.

It felt so unreal, being employed by your ex husex-husbandomething which seemed rather impossible.

Elmira was determined to make her first day worth the catch.

She carefully reviewed the company's dos and don'ts and by the end of the day, she became familiar with nearly everything.

She handed her work report to Luciano, avoiding eye contact as much as possible, and he noticed.

"Look at me," Luciano spoke, standing from his chair. He approached Elmira,and she took a step back, but he closed the space between them.

"I'm uncomfortable boss," She managed to say, glancing sideways. Using his thumb, he gently turned her around towards him.

His right hand rested on the wall above her head,his eyes locked on her lip and his other hand held her chin gently.

"Uncomfortable? How can you be uncomfortable, when you used to moan my name?" He whispered into her ear,and she gulped down.

"That was in the past," she defended herself, and Luciano chuckled. He brought his nose closer to her neck, taking in her scent. His eye color shifted to gold briefly before returning to black.

"In the past, you say? But your body still reacts to my touch. Imagine what my tongue could do, doll," he teased, gazing into her innocent eyes with a smile.

"I have to go... It's time to leave work!" She stammered, and he smirked. He gently caressed her face and leaned in. Their lips met slowly, and she closed her eyes.

"You'll leave when I say so," were his parting words as he returned to his seat. Elmira bit her lip hard, her eyes fixed on him.

Elmira got down from the taxi and exhaled, today has been a hell of a day. She wouldn't have applied for the job if she knew it was Alpha Luciano's company.

Her phone buzzed and she quickly checked it. It's a message from one of her friends, and it reads: WANNA HAVE FUN?

With a smile, she replied 'yes' to her friend on the text, before removing her bags inside the house.

"Grandma!... I'm home!" She called, sinking into the couch.

She rested for a few seconds before going to freshen up. After having her meal, she texted her friends asking for the location.

"Are you going somewhere?" Henry asked, dropping his backpack.

"Yup, just a little party"

"With Bianca?" He asked and she nodded, till applying makeup on her face.

"I won't stay long, make sure Hailey has her  lunch when she  wakes up okay!" She said, leaving the house.

Henry rolled his eyes, going into his room to have a rest.

Elmira met with her friend at her house, they chatted, ate and even celebrated about her newly found Job.

"You won't believe it!!" They laughed, gulping down the contents in the cup.

"Actually he's cute, I think I like him," She replied, blushing.

"Really? Alpha Jacob, would make a great deal, yunno?" Bianca said, and Elmira blushed red.

After much talking, they left for the night party. Bianca met a guy at the door entrance, which she found appealing. She left with the guy, leaving just Alpha Jacob and Elmira.

"Why don't you want to work with me?" Alpha Jacob asked, stirring his whiskey.

"I just like it here, when would you be returning to your pack? It's been five days already" She asked, purposely ignoring the question.

"Tomorrow or next? I don't know… Elmira!I love you and I would really wish for you to be mine" He spoke gently, rubbing her hand.

Their gaze locked perfectly, slowly he pulled her by the neck and slammed his lip on hers.

He held her hands and they walked upstairs, where the rooms were.

When they reached the VIP Room, Elmira sat down on the couch and Alpha Jacob beside her.

"Wanna have a drink?" He asked, pouring her a cup of whiskey.

She gracefully took the whiskey and gulped down at a time. "Easy girl, she's quite strong," He remarked.

"I'm aware. I can perfectly handle it" She spoke and poured herself another glass.

She gulped it down again and chuckled softly.  "I'm a single mother, do you still want to marry me?" She asked, sniffing in.

"I don't care…so far as you're the one I'm marking as mine. It's okay with me!" He responded, touching her fresh thighs.
