Chapter 38 Near The End

"A fine idea, Madam," Anthony said as he stepped into Rosette's room and took a seat. "I'll help you."

They spent the next hour calmly discussing various ways to torture Ryana. The discussion seemed to thoroughly engage Anthony, who contributed many inventive ideas. His disappointment was evident when Rosette informed him that Kyle had promised Ryana's grandmother a quick death.

"A guy can dream," he replied wistfully.

Suddenly, a piercing scream filled the air. Rosette leaped off the bed only to be thrust behind Anthony, who was mid-transformation. The brown wolf-man growled menacingly at the door.
