"Someone better explain to me what the hell is going on."

It's not Kaden's expression that has me worried. He can look as conspiratorial, as evil, as he wants, and it wouldn't surprise me. But Rylan? I'm staring into the blank, vacant eyes of a male I don't recognise, that devilish smile on his face disturbing. It's the kind of smile that admits to the sins I never knew he committed.

Kaden shrugs loosely. He doesn't care as he says, "I think I'll give your mate the honour of explaining."

I snap my gaze to Rylan. He's looking at Kaden...fondly. The sight makes me feel sick, betrayed, and not because I woke up from death itself. Rylan hates Kaden. Kaden hates me. It was an even circle of hatred that has turned into one thing.

Me hating both of them.

"You're looking decent," Rylan says, dragging a heavy gaze down my body. It's almost offending. I've seen him do it shyly before, embarrassed that I caught him admiring me. Now, he seems pleased, even arrogant. It's a look I wouldn
