Chapter 251:

Early morning, I sat on the cliff, looking blankly into the distance.

Behind me came a heavy footstep, and without turning, I knew it was Alfine.

“I have something to ask you.” Alfine's voice was hoarse.

I tilted my head and saw his eyes were red; I knew what he was going through; the feeling of losing a loved one was terrible. I want to say a few words of comfort, but I don't know where to start. Furthermore, Alfine prefers actions to words.

"Keep talking." I jumped down, standing parallel to Alfine.

Alfine lowered his face for a long moment as if pondering over something, then he asked. “Before he died, did my father say anything to you? I mean his last wish.”

“He wants us to find and bring Erina back,” I recall Blake's series of distressed expressions before his death that made me highly uncomfortable.

"Ah, I know," Alfine said sadly, then turned away. "We are returning. My scent masking techniques disappeared, and they will quickly come here, with our situation very dangerous."
