Ryan POV:

I rushed into the depths of the forest. The new wound on top of the old damage continued to bleed. I had to change my path constantly to avoid detection. If I'm alone, I don't run away; I will make that vile Kent pave the way for me in hell; it's just that I'm not alone; I also have Erza beside me; I must protect her.

I tilted my head slightly, and Erza, on my back, fainted from exhaustion. I found a dry place, gathered the leaves in a pile, and laid her on it. I looked sadly at her wet face; even though I had passed out, the corners of my eyelids still trembled.
